Pros: Easy to start, powerful engine Cons: a bit bulky
Summary: It is that time of year. Again. The gloves come back on, the shovels head off for their tour of duty, and the days of hopping in your car and driving to work in the morning are almost gone. Pretty soon, if not already for some, the snow will fall. The ...

Pros: Great brand name.
Dealer stores, not a superstore with minimum wage employees.
Cons: Expensive when compared to lesser machines.
Summary: I looked at heavy machines after realizing a small single stage was more aggravation than it was worth. I wanted a machine that would clear my driveway, not deposit snow 2 feet over. I stuck with John Deere because its a widely known name. Their...

Pros: Ease of use Cons: Expensive
Summary: The more expensive a product is the more research I try to do before the purchase. I researched for a good snow blower for about 3 months (well before snow season which helped tremendously).
In that time I learned the difference between a...

Pros: Nice fit, finish and paint. smooth leavers and comfortable grip placement. Cons: The sturdyness of it should be tougher. Tires should have larger knobs. ITS VERY LOUD!
Summary: I impulse bought my MINT condition 1032D in July '10 used lightly from my dads neighbor who was moving to AZ. Got it for an incredible price I found out later. I didnt spend 1 minute shopping for another brand. We have had record snow this year

Pros: Powerful, self propelled. Starts easily. Cons: It doesn't throw snow worth a damn. Plan to shovel after the belt burns out.
Summary: Another snow season begins and I can't take it anymore. The Deere starts well but just like last season only works for a few minutes before the thrower completely gives out. You have to call the dealer to come replace the belt. It's

Pros: Easy to operate, Handles heavy snow Cons: None I can think of
Summary: My brother-in-law gave us a John Deere 1032d. Machine starts by pull or by plugging it in so you can use the electric start. I always use the electric start the first time, but after that it's a single pull start. Throws snow nice and easy to operate for

Pros: Build-quality, looks, heavy-duty auger-gearing, built like a tank. Cons: None whatsoever! Love it!
Summary: I've had the John Deere for many years now, bought it new from a J.D. dealer-friend and to be honest, did not do any research whatsoever, went with his expert opinion. The horsepower may seem lower than some other lower-name brands but the way it is

Pros: John Deere quality, plenty of HP, excellent dealer support Cons: Very heavy, shouldn't be used by a lightweight, could through the snow a bit farther
Summary: I bought my JD 1032 snow blower 8 years ago and have used it quite a bit as I live in New England where we do get considerable snow. The machine is extremely well built as most John Deere equipment is. For a 10hp two stage blower I would like to see it
