Pros: John Deere ruggedness and resale value; clean design. Cons: 1st gear could be slower; mulching performance is compromised by design for bagging attachment.
I bought this machine used after one year of use by a person who bought a larger house and traded up. It handles long grass with ease. It turns sharply to cut along flower beds and around trees to minimize trimming. Height of cut is easily set. Engine ...
I think this mower is definately over rated. The cost is way too much. I have owned several different types of mowers, and this one I just didn't like. It is a rough ride and the steering is just not that great either. Plus, I spent more time putting...
Pros: not too big, rides smoothly Cons: makes big messes and doesn't work half of the time
When I went to the sears to buy my new riding lawnmower, I was told to get the John Deere SX85 riding mower by the store clerk. Well I didn't know anything about mowers so I just took his advice and bought the machine. The first time I rode it was about...
Pros: very good gas mileage Cons: Have to change the oil to often
I have used one of these for the past three years and haven't had a problem with it yet. The only real thing I have had to do with it is sharpen the blades and change the oil so I don't blow it up. It gives my lawn a nice looking straight cut when I am...
I would recommend that anyone who is looking to buy a new riding lawn mower, seriously consider this John Deere. It is a smooth ride, has good power and has a free floating deck to name of few of the reasons I like it.
Pros: cuts sharply
sturdy
manueverability Cons: price is steep along with parts and service
I would recommend that anyone who is looking to buy a new riding lawn mower, seriously consider this John Deere. It is a smooth ride, has good power and has a free floating deck. This is one of johndeeres top of the line rear engine riders. ITs has a...
Pros: Highly maneuverable, easy to use Cons: More expensive than competing brands
If you talk to anyone who knows about lawn equipment, they'll tell you that John Deere MEANS quality, especially in the area of riding lawn mowers. Deere has been making these products for a long time and they know what they're doing.

John Deere has done it again coming out with the SX85 mower. I love this piece of equipment because of its incredible power and durability just like any other product from the John Deere company. The smaller wheels on this item allow for easier turn...
If this is John Deere's pride of the mower line, then I suggest the delve in to making some other product. THIS IS NOT THE GREATEST MOWER AT ALL. As stated in some of the other opinions, twigs and other easy choppable materials stayed intact and...
I would like to thank everybody who chipped in and got me this beautiful toy of mine. It was my birthday and I wasn't sure what to expect, except for a little cook out later that evening. So people were arriving and I didn't see any presents in there...
Pros: good mowers Cons: price might be alittle high but worth it
John Deere is a good product to use anytime and anywhere . I've been a John Deere user for 20 years and they never have let me down. You buy one Deere as a homeowner and they last you for life you take care of the machine and it will take care of you....
Pros: guality ,strength and durablity Cons: price of parts and labor costs
I must say a John Deere tractor is the cream of the crop.We use
nothing but John Deere Tractor Mowers in our line of business. We
have a Lawn Care Service and we wouldn't use anything else.We have
had other tractors in the past ,but for...
Pros: wide cutting range Cons: unreliable and weak
This is one horrible machine. I have had terrible experiences with this riding mower. I was simply mowing my lawn and there were basic twigs and mulch on the ground, and the mower jammed. That is a bunch of cr@p. The mower won't turn over and has a...
Pros: The mowing part of it is tough, that is good. There is very little maintance. Cons: The plastic parts, fenders are tender. The battery or replacement battery didn't last.
The rear fenders are plastic and if you get too close to bushes they will fall off. The neck of the gas tank can crack and if you keep useing it leaves will get in and plug up the gas line. The battery doesn't last very long. I bought a replacment at the John Deere place and it didn't last either. I use a jumper battery to start it now. I have been useing it for years. It is tough though. I try to keep from having to trim around bushes, we have too many of them. I finally broke the belt that drives the blade. It lasted real good. I mulched up after a few hurricanes. All the little stuff left after we got the bigger limbs up.
