Pros: Spray, works beautifully, defines curls Cons: Watch use over time perhaps
Even with having permed hair for years I never have tried John Frieda's Frizz Ease line. I heard from someone once (cannot even remember who) that the product line did not perform well, and never thought to try. It was by chance that I...
Pros: Doesn't leave hair "hard", gives curls a little bit of boost, inexpensive Cons: Dispenses too much, doesn't revive curls as well as it should, doesn't control frizz
One of the first curl sprays I tried was Redken's In The Loop. I love that curl spray ...
Pros: More suitable for humidity, wind and rain than similar styling products. Cons: Expensive, stinks
This is step 4 of a 5 step program and is designed for styling curly hair. This happens to be one of the most important steps for me in preparing my hair on a curly day. My hair is shoulder length and confused. It doesn't know if it's straight, wavy, ...

About 10 years ago my pin straight (so straight I used to perm it!) hair started getting lumpy...then it got wavy...now it is curly. Not nice curly though. Curly in a frizzy lumpy asymmetrical way that requires a lot of work to get it into a nice curly ...

Pros: Small package, easy to use, can use on wet hair Cons: none
My hair is pretty wavy and definately prone to frizz. If I air-dry I become a big ball of hair, no curl just frizz. And then I found Dream Curls. It's not the miracle that I had been dreaming of but I really don't think that product exists. When ...

Yuck! Makes My Hair Feel Gross by mariamarchita ,Apr 14 '04
Pros: Spray dispenser is more convenient than gels/creams. Cons: Coats hair, makes it sticky/greasy, doesn't make my hair any curlier than usual, heavy.
I definitely don't think this was worth the 6$ I spent on it. First of all, it doesn't do much for curls. I have permed hair, and scrunching alone would work just as well as scrunching with this spray. Also, it coats my hair and leaves it looking and feeling wet all the time--it never dries! Then when I try to comb/pick through my hair, this stuff makes my hair feel all sticky and coated--and look greasy. I wont use it again, it's way too much.
Defending my Dream Curls! by idnottaken ,Jan 21 '06
Pros: Soft curls, no crunch (and no, it's not expensive!) Cons: Not for everyone, but worth a try
This is a great product for me. I think the reviewers who d0n't like it don't have the right hair for it. Mine is naturally wavy and frizzy, and I usually straighten it. But when it's humid, especially when it rains, I coax the curls rather than fight the frizz. This stuff is great for me. I've used a couple of two-step systems (eg, cream and spray), but this does the job of both of them. My hair comes out with soft curls, not crunchy. I've used products that make my curls tighter, but there's a tradeoff--they usually make my hair crunchy as well. Also, I haven't used this without a frizz-fighting serum (Frizz-Ease is my fave), so I can't assess its frizz-fighting properties. As for those who say it's expensive, I can usually find it on sale at one drug store chain or another for $4 or so--a small price to pay if it's the right product for you.
This one really works for me by ldoonan ,Jul 31 '06
Pros: It works! Cons: Hard to find.
I have wavy/curly hair that has proven to be unmanageable over the years. I've tried a number of products and combinations to help control it, so when I saw this one, I was expecting it to be as useless as the rest. But I had to try, sooner or later something would be developed that would work.
I have bouncy, red-carpet worthy curls/waves now!! They're soft, shiny and touchable. I was so surprised, and even more thrilled.
My hairs is not SUPER curly, so I was not expecting too much out of it, but I also didn't expect to get nothing at all. I found that it was like I was spraying water onto my hair. It did nothing at all! I really feel like I wasted my money on this.

I have fought my hair for years. It is fine, thin and now salt and pepper. It was a mess.I bought a bottle of Dream Curls and Wow I was absolutely amazed at what it did for my lack-luster hair.I used it on damp hair and just scrunched it and let it dry naturally.I am so happy.I love John Frieda. Its as if the product was made especially for me.I have lots of compliments on my hair.Something that Never happened before. No more perms for me!Just the right amount of curl.
