Pros: Fits majority of people Cons: Unconvincing color, huge pupil hole, get dry easily
Its been two years since I opened my first box of colored contact lenses, and its been anything but a glorious experience. For a whole year, I used Color Blends by Freshlook, superior to Acuvue 2 in coloration but not comfort. Turns out the ...
Pros: I can't think of one good thing to say about these lenses Cons: Ugly colors...Limited to one Size...constant shifting...need i say more?
I bought these lenses right away when they first came out...boy was that a waste of money. If you feel like reading about a good review about these lenses...i suggest you look somewhere else. These lenses are so uncomfortable its insane...I put them ...
Pros: Natural looking colors! Cons: Can sometimes rotate and be dry if worn all the time!
I have been wearing contacts for about 5 years. I however though just been wearing the clear just for my vision. I have light brown eyes and the thought and me buying colored contacts never came to my mind and when the thought came to my mind my mom ...
Pros: As comfortable as the transparent Acuvue 2. Cons: Too many to mention here. They don't fit well, and your natural color show through...
I’ve never wanted to try color contacts till about two months ago. Once I made up my mind, I started going to various websites, where you can try their lenses on models. I truly don’t know how realistic those pictures are, there seem to be more of a ...
I have been wearing contacts for 7 years now and I have always loved the Acuvue 2 from Johnson and Johnson and from my experience the best contacts to known to man. So, it seemed only natural that if I ever wanted to try colored contacts lenses, the best ...
Pros: Cool colors Cons: Only comes in 1 base curve size
I am wearing these contacts right now and I must say they are very comfy! Sometimes when I blink or when I look over to the side I can see the color, but other then that they feel just like the clear Acuvues.
I love the color!! I have the blues in....
Pros: Amazing comfort (similar to Acuvue 2), wide color choice Cons: Iffy "up close" color, may look weird on originally light eyes
My natural eye color is very dark, almost to the point of appearing entirely black. However, in the light, a deep rich brown color shows. After being enticed by ads for color contact lenses, I decided to try Freshlook color contact lenses. I hated the ...
Nice Eyes! rather Nice LENSES! by mestizo305 ,Feb 24 '05
Pros: Comfy,no sliding around, chestnut, green, blues, hzl green best tints Cons: bad colors gray, honey
Compared to all lenses I had, this one is off the hook. I have brown eyes and I like to change it dramatically yet natural. The prints are soft that blends in perfectly on your natural eye color, especially in the daylight even if you have the darkest brown eyes. I love the enhancing layer on the lens that makes the lens look very natural and avoids that freaky big dark pupil, whether you are in a daylight or in a dark place where light source is flashed directly on your eyes. The enhancing layer also avoids that totally fake print if someone is looking at the side of your eyes. The lens dont swirl around your eyes and provides very good comfort
Pros: Stays wet
Very comfortable
Nice colors Cons: Could have more color options--like purple!!
After trying both Proclear and Acuvue advance, I wanted to try Acuvue 2 colors. I had read some good reviews about the comfort and fit of acuvue, especially compared to the advance and went to give it a try. They are wonderful! With the advance I would have to keep applying eyedrops--my eyes are especially dry. But with the acuvue 2 they're practically perfect! And they fit wonderfully. The only time they ever give me trouble is when I go to work for long periods of time at the library--its very hot and dry and dusty in there. But I love those contacts and wouldnt trade them for the world!
Pros: Large variety of colors. Cons: Dry easily, Move around in your eyeball, Tear easily, Look FAKE!
I got Acuvue 2 Opaques two summers ago. The pupil hole is too large for I think any human being and shows the natural eye color which makes it seem like there is a huge black hole in the middle of your eye. Some colored contacts have a blending technique to conceal the natural color but these show EVERYTHING! There aren't any options for Base Curve or anything so it's one size only unlike other better contacts I've used. In pictures, you can see the difference and it's so obvious that you have contacts on. They dry VERY easily and rip for no reason. They move around when you blink. Basically, this experience was terrible and made me lose faith in all colored contacts. I had to go back to my natural eye color and clear contact lenses.
Bottom Line: I will never go back to these contacts.
If you have brown eyes stick with a dark lens by mininchico ,Jun 22 '05
Pros: They are comfortable. Cons: They just don't look real.
I just purchased the Acuvue Colours in Grey. I had hoped that they would be a darker grey and it's true the pupil hole is too large so people can tell that under the lens are brown/hazel eyes. I think I will try the darker colors next. I would like to be able to wear colored lenses and not have people say, "Nice Contacts!". Perhaps the technology for comfort and good color has not been reached yet.
Now I have a six month supply of grey contacts that look fake. Too bad.
