Calling Cuervo Black a "super premium" tequila is like calling KFC "gourmet" food. Heck, it is not even a 100% agave product! I know...I know: just getting started and I am already flaming Cuervo again? There is nothing new to this enhanced version ...

Jose Cuervo Black is smooth, it hits you differently. The burn that you get from the sharpness is gone! This tequila still gives you the same effect, it's enjoyable just a bit easier on the way down!
It's said to be enjoyed on the rocks or in cola, I would not waste this tequila in cola, it's great straight up or in a shotglass.

Pros: Rich flavor for the cash
Cons: Haven't found any yet, but I'm going to keep trying.

Since regular Jose Cuervo is my drink of choice, I was pleasantly surprised to see Black Medallion on the shelf. I finally went home with a bottle and experimented. The bottle suggests on the rocks or with cola. I first started with "on the rocks" and enjoyed the new aroma and taste. Next drink was the same except with a wedge of lime. This combination works best for me if I'm doing "on the rocks".

Now, don't hate me for telling you what I did next but for me, it was true love. I took a high ball glass and filled it with ice. I poured a 50/50 mix of "Black" and OJ. Yes, I said Orange Juice. The first sip led to a few more. You should lean a little heavier on the "Black" rather than the OJ. The only problem you could run into would be making a mistake buying the wrong size bottle.

Pros: Smooth, rich and captivating taste with a delicious finish.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing; it's already sheer perfection.

I received my first bottle of this sensual elixir for my birthday this summer and have been hooked ever since. I should say up front that I'm a long time fan of Cuervo Gold ... that is, when I'm not drinking my favorite Jack Daniels.

I can sum up my first delicious taste of Cuervo Black Medallion thus: If Jack Daniels and Cuervo Gold had a baby, they would name it Cuervo Black Medallion. Finally, my two favorite spirits are melded together in an incredibly smooth, bewitching blend of pure heaven. Cuervo Black is richly sumptuous whether I drink it neat, on the rocks, or, yes, even with Coca Cola.

What a great friend I have for introducing it to me. Try it; I guarantee you will not be disappointed (except with how hard it is to find in certain markets).

Jose Black is so smooth I drank it straight up for starters then mixed it with Country Time Lemonade in a double shot glass half jose half lemonade it was awesome.
