Pros: Hey, it's fun! Cons: It's a dangerous toy if rules aren't followed.
"Are you crazy?" said my friend Tena, who works as a nurse at a local hospital. "A trampoline is the most dangerous toy that a child can have! Do you know how many trampoline accidents are transported to the hospital? Lots!"
Pros: Fun product, easy to assemble, inexpensive. Cons: Falls apart in 2 years. Cheap welds on the frame crack and break.
When my family and I moved to Ohio 8 years ago, my 2 boys were 10 and 6 years old. We have a big back yard, and we wanted to get something fun to get them outside. We bought a 14' Jumpking trampoline from Sam's Club. It was easy to assemble, and ...
Pros: Fun ring (net) enclosure helps prevent many of the safety issues (falling off). Cons: None come to mind.
As much as I swore I would not want a trampoline for my kids (safety issues), I gave in and have not regretted it yet. In fact, I would have to say that is is one of the best purchases my kids have ever received from Santa. As we all know, kids these ...
Pros: Safety factor on this is amazing. The net system is super. Cons: None really, allow a few hours to assemble.
We purchased this product for a family X-mas gift. We have a 3 1/2 year old and 1 year old. We had this item delivered as we had heard it was very heavy, and it was. I was worried that I would have to find someone to help me assemble it, but I got it ...
Pros: Cheap Cons: Does not hold up to frequent use.
This lasted less than 30 months. During that time I had to replace the mat because of a foot long tear. The net and spring pad also needed replacing but before I could do that the frame broke and replacements are not available.
I don't think you can't buy this particular model anymore but there are similar ones available from several companies. I recommend that anyone looking for a trampoline review www.trampolinesafety.net.
Pros: The kids are having fun. Cons: Poor quality control, poorly shaped design of the fun ring.
The trampoline is ok - the places in the frame where the metal was supposed to be cut out so the springs would insert weren't cut all the way, so we had to drill, pry, and file to make them the right size. If it wasn't so heavy, and the last one in the store, we would have returned it. The 'new' design of the Fun Ring Net is 2 big upside down 'U's, so the net is pulled into a square shape, not round, and you lose a lot of jumping space on the trampoline. The entrance is only a triangle 12 inches by 24 inches, very hard to get in and out of. Very disappointing product.
Excellent Trampoline and Lots of Fun by stephleigh ,Jan 03 '04
Pros: Very Sturdy! The nets allows the jumpers to not get near the springs at all. Cons: The netting was tedious to install. There must be an easier way!
This is a great trampoline. It was a x-mas gift for the kids at Christmas. It was super easy to set up. The only part that was tedious was setting up the netting. It actually took more time to assemble than the trampoline itself.
Jumpking is a Good Choice by jackie3412 ,Sep 10 '06
Pros: Good price, durable. Cons: Not for large kids or adults. Sits too low on ground.
I recently purchased a 15' Jumpking for my kids and they loved it. It sits lower on the ground and is for small kids so it does not suite adults like me and my 180 lb body. My wife and I personally have a heavy duty adult size 15' Titan Extreme III trampoline. We find trampolines to be fun, safe, and great exercise for both of us so we decided that the kids should have one. Titan trampolines are a bit expensive so we decided to look for a smaller and more affordable one for the kids and found the Jumpking to be within our price range and durable.
Pros: Great exercise and keeps them busy for hours! Cons: The straps that connect the netting to the poles have ripped apart on several occasions.
My kids are 10 and 8 and absolutely love their trampoline. I had bought one (with the netting) a few years ago at a garage sale and that lasted for a few years. This past spring we bought this one at Sam's club. The trampoline was $179 and the Fun Ring was $149 (and so worth it!!!). It took my husband about an hour to put the whole thing together. The netting was a pain, but worth the peace of mind. The kids used it all summer long (they even put the sprinkler underneath it on hot days!)and continued to use it until we got our first snow of the season this week. My husband and I took the netting down and the padding off to store for the winter, hopefully this will preserve it a little longer.
Pros: cheap inexpensive, can't find a 15 footer for that price anywhere Cons: weak springs, starts to lower your bounce, pads fade, cracks in the sun. poor quality
