Failed after 3 months
by WickedLou9 ,Oct 07 '09
Pros: Inexpensive, when it works, it works well. Cons: Unreliable, broke after 90 days
I bought this air purifier for my baby's room. It worked fine for the first 3 months. After this time, the unit started to produce a strong electrical/burning smell so we stopped using it. I contacted Sears about this but they were unwilling to help me. They do not warranty these units beyond 90 days, and despite the Kenmore name, they don't stand behind the products. Kenmore products are made by 3rd party manufacturers. After 90 days you are on your own. I paid a little over 100 dollars for this and it failed after 90 days. Figures. Save your money and buy an air purifier from a company that will waranty your purchase and stand behind the product.
