Pros: feels nice Cons: seemed to stop working, no SPF, strange scent, icky texture
It was only a year and half ago that I started to get into lip balm. Before that time, though I did use a lip balm every night before bed, I didn't really pay attention to what I used or what was in what I was using. Things have changed! Hearing ...
Pros: Really great lip balm, soothes, moisterizes. Cons: heavy -- not for daytime wear. At first use appears to be expensive Vaseline.
Just like everyone else, I've heard the hype. Oh, it's the best lip balm ever. Oh, all the celebrities love it. Oh, Allure Magazine has it in their lip balm hall of fame. However, I'm not much of a lip balm person. I used it when I lived in Michigan for ...
Pros: Product lasts for along time. Gives lips a nice sheen. Cons: Has an interesting smell which some people can taste. Doesn't stop me from using it!
I've read the other reviews about the lip balm and I don't disagree with some of the points. I'll share with you would I love and would willingly trade about this product. First off, let me just say that I like the lip balm. I got hooked on it when ...
very nice, but not enough for the price by fastasyoucan ,Oct 16 '05
Pros: long-lasting, odourless, leaves lips feeling fantastic Cons: too expensive
I received a tube of this balm for free (yay for being in the store directory at anniversary time!) and I love, love, love it. That said, I doubt I would buy it.
I agree with the people who call it "glorified vaseline", though I myself would probably call it "improved vaseline". Bear in mind, before I picked this tube up I was actually using vaseline in a little travel jar! The difference to me is that the Kiehls is a little more substantial in consistency, stays on longer, and leaves the lips feeling a little nicer at the end.
Though I am loyal to my vaseline, I find that it wears off quick and sometimes leaves the lips a little sticky. However, those complaints are minor when I consider that I can get a year's worth of vaseline for 2 bucks and a teeny tiny tube of Kiehls for I-don't-want-to-know-how-much.
Bottom line: if you have the cash to spend, Kiehl's is heaven. If you can't afford heaven, vaseline is an appropriate substitute.
Pros: leaves lips soft and conditioned, inexpensive Cons: a bit greasy
I love this balm! You must be willing to use it as the directions specify; put it on and let it soak into your lips. I then wipe the excess off ( it is a bit greasy) and my lips are left soft and chapped free! Great, inexpensive lip balm.
Temporarily protects and helps relieve chapped or cracked lips. Helps protect lips from the drying effects of wind and cold weather. Brand: Kiehls Bat...More at Nordstrom
