Pros: The mattress covering is really soft. Cons: The head of the mattress is lower than the rest of the mattress.
My husband and I finally got around to getting a new mattress. We went to Sleepy's who immediately put us on one of their "diagnostic" beds to see what kind of support we needed. We fell for it and $3000 later our Kingsdown #3 was delivered. As soon ...

Pros: Mattress was comfortable - at the start. Cons: Within 1 year, we were experiencing serious pain in our backs, shoulders and hips.
We purchased our Kingsdown mattress from the Sleeping Beauty line - Contessa - to be exact, from Mattress Giant. In the beginning, it was very comfortable to both of us - but that didn't last.
Within one year, both of us were waking up consistently...

Pros: comfortable for the first month. Cons: formed a huge pit after a month--ripoff!!!!
A year ago, I went to sleepys ready to buy something simple like a serta or simmons bed and was convinced by the store people to get a kingsdown bed because it's perfect for people with bad backs. I got suckered in and besides the fact that it's a huge ...

Pros: The mattress felt very comfortable in the showroom. Cons: The warranty is not worth the paper it is written on.
We spent close to $2,000 for a Kingsdown mattress 9 months ago, being told by several salespeople that that's "what they slept on" and that it was the best. The fact that it offered a 20 year warranty was also a benefit. NOTE TO FUTURE BUYERS: READ ...

Pros: Live and learn - unfair business practices Cons: We trusted Mattress Giant salesperson.
Last January 2007, we bought a king size Kingsdown mattress from Mattress Giant in Coral Springs, FL. I was told that Kingsdown was the best manufacturer and that their beds are used by the most prestigious hotels in the world. I was told I had 90 days ...

Pros: Comfort, comfort, comfort Cons: Price, size, weight, sheets don't fit
My wife and I were shopping for a new Queen size mattress and box spring for our new bedroom set. We went to Sears, 1-800-Mattres and Sleepy's. The Kingsdown was the most comfortable mattress hands down. I mean it wasn't even close. Initially we were...

Pros: KINGSDOWN IS A REPUTABLE COMPANY Cons: MATTRESSES & BOX SPRINGS BULKY AND HEAVY, REQUIRE TOO MUCH WORK TO MAINTAIN
INSTEAD OF BUYING A KING SET, WE BOUGHT TWO EXTRA LONG TWIN SETS, #2 AND #3. EVEN THOUGH I TOOK THE DORMO DIAGNOSTIC TEST, I DIDN'T FIND THE BED COMFORTABLE. ALSO, I BEGAN TO DEVELOP NECK PAIN. AFTER WE HAD THE SETS FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, THE CENTER OF MY ...

Pros: I rarely wake up during the night, have not slept this good in 30 years. Cons: Putting the mattress pad on is a fight so I get my husband to do.
I had back surgery in '89 so mattress quality and comfort are big with me. When I went to replace my Serta, which had only lasted 8 years, I begrudgingly went into a furniture store which carried the Kingsdown. The salesman had me figure out my comfort ...

Pros: NONE Cons: Expensive, sags, causes physical discomfort & pain
Please Note - Anyone who has had a KINGSDOWN for 2 years will most likely be honest and say they S-A-G. In Aug 2005 I bought a Kingsdown (Queen) mattress & boxspring, a Sleepy's frame &, of course, the "super-special" mattresspad which, if I didn't ...

Pros: Looks beautiful, feels great for first 60-90 days Cons: Horrible sagging, loses all support, warranty useless!!!
I purchased a Kingsdown Dormo Silver 21 set, full, for $1052.00 in August 2004. By April 2005, the soft cushiony mattress was developing deep body impressions which turned into sags and dips. Per my warranty information, the mattress could not be ...

Pros: Well made, extremely comfortable, best sleep ever. Cons: A little pricey but well worth it, and our model has to be flipped
I have had my Kingsdown Dormo Mattress for about two years now. Before my wife and I slept on a standard box spring mattress and I would wake up in the middle of the night with my left arm going numb. We decided to get a new mattress two years ago and ...

Pros: soft and fluffy Cons: backache, sagging, lack of sleep, marital distress, cost way too much money, anger, and depression
This mattress was the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. It was good for around 6 months and then it sagged and sagged and sagged. I hate everything about this mattress. My husband picked it out! and now his back hurts worse than mine. His ...
