Pros: well balanced. heats evenly. relatively inexpensive. Cons: doesn't nest well for storage
Mom and Dad keep kosher which means that they have at least two sets of everything (sometimes three) - one for milk/dairy, one for meat, and one for neutral/pareve. My mother had bought a set of corning's see-thru cookware and hated it from day-1. Well,...
Pros: High quality, MUCH LOWER COST!, durability, non-stick surface, functionality Cons: Not dishwasher safe (due to possible color staining)
First let me say that I am not a professional chef. I share the cooking with my wife for our family of seven kids and three adults....... I have taken almost three years of culinary arts school before moving onto a more technical job.
Pros: Heavy-weight aluminum, hard anodized, easy to clean, durable and well-made. Cons: Handles can get hot. Need to use utensils for non-stick surfaces. Not dishwasher safe.
This is a high-quality set and we're very pleased. The fit and finish is excellent and the pieces perform well and are easy to clean. A little background:After going through our second cheap non-stick cookware set in as many years, I told my wife ...
Pros: Heats evenly, cleans easily, looks and cooks great. Cons: not non-stick...
If you read my epinion on Calphalon
"Gimme a pot I can Dishwasher" You know my experience with cookwear. Given that Calphalon finally responded with a "tough cookies" to my email, we decided to buy more all-clad. However, there we were at costco,...
I purchased my set a couple of months ago and am really enjoying them. First, I was impressed at how many pieces I got for only $149.99...and a lid for every pot and pan. Before this, I had been using Chantal cookware, but at around $150 per piece it ...
Pros: Perfect Performance and Price!!!! Great set, as well. Cons: NONE!!!!!!
I love to cook, and when I started to take classes part-time at my local culinary school, I decided to donate my old cookware that was nearing its lifespan, and replace it with quality pieces. I had a Calphalon (commercial nonstick) frying pan and an...
Pros: Large and varied and relatively inexpensive set. Cons: Difficult to store and set may have redundant pieces for those who already have some sets.
As someone not brought up to cook (my family picked up a lot), I never had any use for pans until going away to graduate school. Then, I was given my first set of T-Fal pans which were light and low maintenance. For the few times I did cook, they were...
we purchased this set with some leftover money from our wedding gifts five months ago. we actually registered for a $450 12-piece cuisinart set at macy's but we didn't get it. when we went back to buy it, we couldn't justify the money to get it.
...
Pros: great non-stick finish, good looking, very sturdy, cooks food much faster. Cons: not dishwasher safe
For some time now I was looking to replace my old t-fal non-stick cookware, even though I did not immediately need a new cookware set, but since me and my husband both enjoy cooking a lot, we used to dream of a good heavy cookware set. Everytime I went...
Pros: Stands up well, cleans easily Cons: Need large space to store
My brother and mother have had the " name brand " more expensive Anodized Cookware and I had had a chance to use them at their homes. I loved the anodized cookware as I am notoriously very hard on my cookware. I could, however, never afford the cost of...
Pros: nice style, easy to clean, good price Cons: the handle fell off two different lids and from two different sets
I purchased this set as a gift for my son at Christmas 2007. He opened the box and the handle from the large lid was detached, laying loose in the box. I returned the set to Costco and exchanged for a new set. The new set, while initially all ...
Great cookware for the price by agilemjolnir ,Aug 14 '06
Pros: Top notch quality, price, good selection of pans/pots, oven safe up to 500 degrees. Cons: None as of yet. Some may say it's too heavy.
Originally I received some nice looking Kitchenaid cookware for my birthday last week but quickly traded it in for the Kirkland.
This set is not only high quality but the food cooks evenly, it's oven safe and it's got a new DuPont non stick surface (not teflon) which is titanium based.
I can't recommend this set enough for the experienced cook or just regular family person looking to create average to fantastic meals.
Kirkland Cookware-hard anodized aluminum by jeanie35 ,May 27 '04
Pros: Food does not stick, heats evenly, cleans beautifully, nest very well. All pieces are useful. Cons: NONE
This cookware is fabulous. As good as expensive cookware costing triple the price. Contrary to one other review I think it nests beautifully. Makes cooking a pleasure.
It does have a lot of pieces but you will use them all! Just not all the time! A few you will use more than others but they all come in handy. I needed new cookware and after checking all the reviews I decided on this one. AND there is nothing that I do not like.
I love this set. I am thinking they will last me a long time. Sometimes I wonder if I will use all the pans. I have yet to try a few out, but I have lots of time.
Pros: Quality, easy clean up, variety of sizes, how well they work on ceramic cook top Cons: Very slight discoloration on the bottom of one fry pan.
I have been testing various anodized cookware one frying pan at a time for about 2 years trying to decide what brand to buy. Then when I joined Costco, understood their warranty and liberal return policy and read these reviews, I decided to go for it. I could not be more satisfied with the performance of these pots and pans They cook as well or better than any cookware I have ever owned. The clean-up is so simple--just wipe out with a sponge, rinse, and dry and put back in the drawer. They store perfectly in my two large pot and pan drawers. In more than 6 months of cooking, I have only needed another type of pan one time--a double boiler-- and fortunately I had an old one that fit right in one of the Kirkland pots.
