Pros: It looks good. Cons: It doesn't work!
We purchased this model when we remodeled our kitchen several months ago and it has been out of service over half the time. We've had 8 service calls. They have taken it apart, ordered parts, ordered parts from the wrong place so they took a month to ...

Pros: Quiet, cleans very well, stylish, easy to load and unload Cons: No cycle indicator, pricey.
I have to admit, after reading all the negative reports here, I was worried about buying this. Then I figured that generally the only people that would report on a high dollar item like this would be those that weren't happy with it. Based on the fact ...

Pros: The two drawer concept is nice - can save energy. Quiet.
Two year warranty. Cons: KitchenAid and Sears customer service - took over 15 months to get the unit working.
We bought this dishwasher from Sears in August 2006, and it didn't work for over 15 months. Sears installed it. When it wouldn't work the Sears tech said it was probably installed wrong. After over a year and hours on the phone and multiple visits by ...

Not worth the extra money
by calpolymom ,Jan 29 '07
Pros: Looks cool, the top drawer is quiet Cons: Noisy, trapped water, does not clean as well as the conventional models.
The installers had a hard time with this dishwasher. The top drawer works great, but the bottom one makes a lot more noise. You also have to be careful when placing your items into the washer, if anything gets caught be the spinning arm, then the load will not get clean. It looks great, and in theory it's nice to be able to just place the dirty dishes into the drawer. It requires a lot of stooping when using the bottom drawer and there is always a bit a residual water on the bottom that you need to be aware of.

Save Your Hard Earned Money

Pros: Looks Cons: Lower draw locks open
Dishes do not get cleaned
Runs long on any cycle
Other then looks you should stay clear of this model. The lower draw continues to get locked in the open position. It seems there is a flap that comes down once the draw is closed to seal water out. This same flap at times gets stuck down preventing the draw from returning once you have pulled it open.
As for cleaning your dishes, worthless. The repair tech has been out twice with advise to run your sink water until hot before running the dishwasher. It seems the dishwasher itself can not properly heat the water ultimately not cleaning your dishes.
Last point: the thing takes too long to complete a cycle. It seems to be running forever. So much for a more efficient process. I'll take the full size and waste water.

Lemon Machine
by hoboheather ,Sep 05 '08
Pros: Looks good. Very quiet. Cons: Price-$1500!!! Ruins glassware, leaves spotting, drawers too small for larger cookery.
We bought this dishwasher in a crunch because it was the only one short enough to fit under our countertop. It seems that dishwashers have gotten a little taller since we last purchased one several years ago. While the machine looks really nice with the integrated controls and sleek front, one doesn't buy a dishwasher as an aesthetic accessory, especially at $1500! We're ruined some good glassware in this machine because we've never had any experience with "etching" in any of the dishwashers that we have collectively owned over the last 20 years! The idea of two drawers was, at first, an attractive idea (no, we're not Orthodox Jewish, so we don't need a Sabbath-friendly machine as described in the user manual), but it ended up being a hindrance as larger items (cookie sheets, larger dinner plates and pots) simply don't fit. Unfortunately, much like a mother-in-law, we are stuck with this machine until we move or remodel and install a taller countertop. This machine simply doesn't cut the muster (let alone get mustard off of plates)!
