Pros: Quiet, attractive, cleans well, generous capacity, flexible loading, large silverware/culinary tool baskets. Cons: None so far.
The house I bought four years ago came with an old, low-end Kenmore dishwasher. It was ugly, very noisy, black (so it looked weird with my white appliances), and didn't do a particularly good job of cleaning dishes. But I am cheap, so I hung on to it, ...
Pros: Cleans and looks great Cons: Door doens't flop down when let go, or flip up easily.
We got this dishwasher after returning a more expensive GE profile dishwasher. When installing I noticed immediately that this dishwasher was built much sturdier than the GE. The frame is thicker, all the parts are mounted by metal brackets, ...
Pros: Quiet, sleek, stylish, cleans well and very energy efficient Cons: Cost - but it is a Kitchen Aid!
I really like Kitchen Aid products. I own alot of KA products from cookware to an architect series range. I recently moved into this house and to my surprise it didn't have a dishwasher. SO I sacrificed some cupboard space and put in a space for a ...
Pros: looks nice, runs quiet does a so,so job cleaning Cons: very frustrating to load -- the racks are poorly designed
I have had my KitchenAid since Feb. '09. It replaced a Maytag that was purchased in Nov. '99 so it wasn't quite 10 years old. Remodeled kitchen in '99 and replaced all apliances w/Maytag --- BIG MISTAKE!!!! Had problems all the time and ...
Pros: Quiet, great washing, large capacity, Proscrub Cons: None of my other appliances are KitchenAid, so it doesn't match!
I bought this dishwasher a few months ago, after returning a Bosch that I previously purchased. After dinner, my kids and I just throw our dishes in the dishwasher without having to rinse them first. They come out completely clean, without any food in site. It is just like those commercials where they put the cake in the dishwasher and it disappears!
This is one of the reasons I returned the Bosch, because it had a filter that I had to manually clean, and I didn't think I should have to wash my dishes before having my dishwasher wash them.
My favorite part about this dishwasher, other than not having to rinse my dishes, is the feature called Proscrub. After baking casseroles for my children, I don't have to soak the dish over night in the sink with soap and water. I just place it in the back of the dishwasher facing the blue water jets, and the dish comes out completely clean EVERY single time. This dishwasher is amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone. I can't wait to save up enough money to get an entire KitchenAid kitchen to match my dishwasher!

Pros: Stainless steel finish looks good in kitchen Cons: Simply does not work
We just moved into a house that had this dishwasher in it and we couldn't be less-pleased. It simply doesn't wash the dishes. We tried arranging them several different ways, but unless we virtually washed them clean before loading, the dishwasher always left food residue on them. The previous owner paid nearly $800 for this machine. We already miss our Maytag Quiet Series 200, which was a fraction of that price.
When I visited the KitchenAid website, I was directed to a nationwide service company that charges $65, just to come look at the machine, plus whatever the repair costs are.
Pros: Quiet, cleans well, racks are deep, holds plenty, attractive stainless steel, inside and out. Cons: After two months, can't complain.
I'm glad I did the research and found this dishwasher on-line. I bought it at Lowe's but had my own plumber install it. I love it, it is quiet and cleans everything. I like the stainless steel interior and I think that the racks are very flexible, movable, to accommodate all kinds of odd-sized kitchen wares. This replaced my 14 yr old Kitchen Aid, which I loved, but this one is even better. Very happy customer.
