Pros: Love the extra top rack for utensils you don't want rattling around in the DW.
Cons: The stainless front is hard to keep clean. Shows every drip and fingerprint.

Two weeks after I got my new DW, my husband walked into the door which was in the open position. He bent the hinges and the door wouldn't close. I thought for sure that we would have to pay for this repair. I called Kitchen Aid and they sent a repairman and it was fixed at no charge because it was under warranty for one year. Have many Kitchen Aid appliances and have been very satisfied with each one.

We have a stainless steel kitcheaid dishwasher and I would never buy one again! It does not clean well at all (the 25 year old maytag I had did a lot better) and it has broken twice in 3 years! A real piece of garbage. I strongly advise everyone to go else where

This dishwasher may be quiet but it doesn't clean my dishes. I bought mine three months ago and have already had four service calls.

The first was to replace the detergent door that wasn't opening.

The last three have been because my dishes are not coming out clean.

Kitchenaid advertises that this dishwasher removes the toughest baked on soils and that no pre-rinsing is required. However, one of the technicians and a supervisor with Kitchenaid told me that I may need to pre-soak my dishes. I told them that's false advertising.

Now they want to set up a fifth service call and have the technician sit at my house while the dishwasher runs through a full cycle, which normally takes between 2 1/2-3 hours.

Currently, the only way to get my dishes clean is to thoroughly rinse and scrub them before putting them in the dishwasher.

The Power-Scrub option doesn't work either.

I just want my money back from Kitchenaid so I can go buy a dishwasher that does what it's advertised to do.

Purchased this dishwasher to replace a crappy LG dishwasher that failed after a year and a half. Great capacity, cleans and dries all dishes completely.
