Pros: Lots of useful info, particularly on newborn kittens Cons: Plenty of obnoxious attitude

A political book about kittens!

Pros: Quite informative and several great pictures. Cons: Heavily opinionated and somewhat unresearched.
I bought this book to help decide how to prepare for two kittens we planned on having in the house for our three daughters. We wanted to plan well, so there were no surprises, and to allow the girls to show responsibility practice for larger things in life. After reading this book, I realized that the author believes kittens ARE the largest thing in life, and it's his way or the highway. For instance, we've had outdoor cats for years, with absolutely no problems. When I grew up it was the same. They get fed daily, keep the rodent population to a minimum, and are very friendly. However, Mr. Walls states that this should be done under NO circumstances. Huh? Obviously the author knows nothing about outdoor cats. Another interesting "opinion" pushed as fact in this book is that there is no vet who can properly declaw a cat.
