Pros: Beautiful photos and copies, affordable ink cartridges, great design Cons: Does not support networking
This is the deal with the Kodak Easyshare 5100 printer. I purchased mine about one week ago. As with most any new digital device, there were some problems. This is to be expected so I knew to just have some patience and I could have a great printer with ...
Pros: affordable, easy to use, good photos, great prints Cons: difficult to set up
***UPDATE*** Jan 2009: In nearly a year of use I have to say that I have replaced the ink two times (I use the printer very heavily) with each replacement (both color and black) costing under $25.00 to replace. This printer is very cost ...
Pros: It did print good pictures when it worked. Cons: You have to keep replacing the printhead.
I purchased this printer on February 24, 2008. It worked fine until May 2008. I started having problems with the black prints coming out faded and lines through the characters. Then I started having problems with printing pictures. I had to continually ...
Pros: Cheap ink Cons: Horrible overtaking software, garbage interface, high failure rate with ink cartridges, not worth 10 cents
Once again, you get what you pay for, HP & Epson always provide strong reliable printers. Given the performance of my Kodak digital camera, I thought that this printer would actually be a great alternative with approximately 33% discount in ink. All it ...
Pros: low ink price, great scans and prints, high build quality Cons: doesnt come with its own usb cable, you have to buy it.
The prints come out great on this, especially compared to my ( admittedly old) HP printer. When my HP went on the fritz I had to make a choice so I read about this new printer that saves on ink. I had always felt robbed by the cost of the ink, so I ...
Pros: It didn't work at all. Makes a great $100 paper weight. Cons: Doesn't work at all! Piece of useless plastic.
We bought one of these at Wal-Mart earlier today. Excited with our new purchase, we took the printer home and the boyfriend set it up... or I should say TRIED to set it up. After following all steps to hook it up, and turning on the printer, it ...

Pros: Easy to use.Easy to install.Great prints .Cheap quality ink.
Cons: I'd like to see support for wireless networking and Ubuntu.
Like many people I look for reviews online. Then wade through positive and negative reviews hoping that the product I chose was a good choice. I'm glad i bought this printer. What drew me to the 5100 was the ink. My old printer works fine. But it ...
Pros: None when compared to the competition. Cons: This is a poorly engineered product.
I have the same problem that many others have with this printer, i.e. after approximately 9 months of operation black printing is difficult to obtain. In too many instances the printer seems to be printing as the paper proceeds through the printer, ...
Pros: Absolutely none that I can think of. Cons: Nothing works. Will not print. No proper instruction book issued. Lights perpetually flash meaninglessly.
I would like to endorse all the highly adverse reviews on this site, but in spades, and only wish we had read them before purchasing. We bought this so-called all-in-one printer/scanner/copier last week, on the express recommendation of the PC world ...
Pros: DO NOT HAVE ONE Cons: Fire hazard; printer head problems; & power problems.
The first all in one 5100 printer that I got for Christmas I set up and then when I went to print something it just quit in the middle of the paper feeding. The computer said printer had lost power. But the light was on in the scanner and the power cord ...

Pros: The hardware is fairly good, and it prints great pictures. Cons: The Kodak and Easyshare software is a total mess. Kodak support is even worse.
I originally installed this printer on my system with no troubles, and it worked great. Then, one day, I tried to scan a document to e-mail by creating a PDF file...it was an option. This didn't work, and I had to use the JPG format. I wrote Kodak a ...

Pros: Decent quality output; cheaper ink; service techs are friendly Cons: had mechanical problems out of the box that took time to get fixed

DO NOT BUY ANY PRINTER THAT USES COMPUTER REFILL CHIPS BUILT INTO THE CARTRIDGE. All they do is waste ink and cost you lots of money. Keep in mind folks, that your new Kodak printer is just my 5100 with a new skin.... My Kodak 5100 is about to go in ...

Pros: Worked well when it worked. Cons: Didn't work.
To be fair, the printer worked fine for the first 6 months. Then the trouble started. First I noticed that the level of color ink as shown on the printer's dialog box went down constantly, though we rarely printed anything in color. I ...
Pros: Has good print quality, easy to use. Cons: Makes you buy ink even if you don't need to print.
I bought my Kodak Easy Share 5100 in February of 2009. I just recently ran out of color ink. Of course, now it won't even print a black and white document. When I contact Kodak support online, they tell me that it won't print unless there is ink in both ...
Pros: ummm, don't know, never worked Cons: bad or no prints, software stinks, useless help, STAY AWAY!
This printer has one redeeming quality: the ink cartridges are cheap. Unfortunately, if the printer does not work, you don't have much use for the ink.I bought this printer from WalMart. My first real problem was with the software, ...
Amazing Printer for 6 months, then... by phyllisshaw ,Mar 15 '08
Pros: Quality of print is outstanding for the 6 months it worked. Cons: Black stopped working after 6 months
It was amazing for 6 months. The quality of print was superb. Then, after 6 months the black would not print, even after trying a second cartridge. Had to return it to store (thank heavens for extended warranties - people say they are not worth it; I wouldn't buy anything without it for the peace of mind). The store gave us an equal exchange for the new Kodak ESP3, which is so new there are really no reviews. Hope it's good. Meanwhile, I will be getting a two year warranty in case it's not.
High expectations, poor satisfaction. by pfossum ,Jun 26 '07
Pros: Prints nice color photos Cons: Big, sloooow, software doesn't work right, it doesn't clean the ink heads.
I've had the 5100 easyshare now for 3 months, and have had buyers remorse for 2.5 months. This is my 3rd ink jet printer and I normally print 2000 pages a year of normal stuff, mostly text but I do print 100 full page photos a year too. I bought the printer because of the claims of cheap ink. I did not not keep track of pages per cartridge but it seems to use ink fast (I've bought 5 ink packs so far, $20 each) Recently the scanner has been malfuntioning and I will be returning it to Best Buy to have it shipped back to get it fixed. I'm going back to my HP 1210 and refill tanks (boo) It's not what I had hoped for.
If you can read instructions it works. by dekerivers ,Jan 25 '08
Pros: Kodak software has plenty of tools for beginners, cheap ink! Not bad looking Cons: No USB cable, loud, a little on the big side, installation was slow.
Printer installs just like the instructions say. The ink price is the biggest feature, all of its features can be found on other printers with varying degrees of quality and usability. If you want a quick and dirty all in one printer (it is loud) but the ink cartridges are 1/4 of the price of my older Epson. The Epson print quality was better but for printing homework assignments and garbage off the internet I can live with the quality for the price. In Canada the local Walmart is selling a package of (colour and black) for $14.99 compared to $78.00 for my epson.
Kodak Easy Share 5100 Printer by pookaloopa ,Mar 24 '07
Pros: Affordable ink, sharp, accurate, long lasting, water resistant photos, excellent build quality Cons: Somewhat large size
Excellent Printer. I am an advanced amateur photographer and I print a lot of photos. Until now I had to refill ink tanks or use compatible tanks to be able to afford the quantity and size I like to print. More often than not I could not obtain the same quality as the OEM tanks The 5100 allows me to use OEM tanks that I can afford to print the size and quantity of photos I like. Hooray for Kodak. The printer makes sharp, long lasting, accurate color photos that are water resistant. I have thus far tried several different brands of photo paper as well as kodak's photo paper, all with outstanding results. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to print good quality photos.
Pros: great printing quality, versatile, long lasting and inexpensive ink cartridges Cons: continuous printer head problems
The printer itself is great. I have been happy with the printing quality. I like the fact I can copy, print and scan. very beneficial for school work.
The only problem I keep having is the printer head going out. I have replaced it twice within the last year.
printheads always need replacing by ebonyruffles ,Oct 05 '09
Pros: Cheap ink, nice quality prints, easy software. Cons: Having to replace the printhead all the time is inconvenient & frustrating.
This all-in-one ran like a charm for a year, then it wouldn't print black. Kodak determined the printhead was shot so they sent me a new one no charge, even though the warranty had expired. Got 5 months out of the new printhead then the same thing happened. They are again sending me a replacement no charge. Customer service is good so far, but I don't imagine they'll supply new printheads indefinitely? It's too bad, because I really like this printer but I'm afraid to get one of the newer models in case this happens again. I'll likely go with HP even though the ink is twice the price, it'd be worth it knowing the printer won't konk out just when I need it most.
OMG WTF is this printer doing? by jamescase13 ,May 11 '08
Pros: Makes you realize you should bought the HP 9100 all in one Cons: It does not work at all. AT ALL, not at all..
I managed to get past the flashing printhead not installed error, went here, find these horror stories, figured ok, well, I got 30 days to try it right? OMG, now 2 weeks in, suddenly the printhead flashing error again. Now, I pop them in, out, in out, a few times. SUDENLY it works. Get this though, prints like an inch then stops, sucks the paper BACKWARDS tears the page, then trys to print again, a little more, then spits out a 1-3inch printed page, the rest blank.. AND a window pops up on the computer saying kodak...bluh...whatever...and its in this endless loop!!! its printed over and over this 2 inch part of a pic, OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!!
GOING BACK TODAY, PRAY FOR ME THAT THEY RETURN IT.
A flexible printer with outstanding photo printing by bdroch ,Dec 25 '07
Pros: Intuitive interface, low ink cost, and lots of options Cons: Size and setup
A great printer given its flexibility, modest price, and low ink costs. The software interface is intuitive and the quality of the photo prints is outstanding. Regular printing, scanning, and copying works well with the 5100 too. The only downsides are its size (a little bigger than some others) and setup can be a little involved (if the ink lights flash, just reset the print head). Definitely a great printer and a technology that should put a dent into HP and Epson's market share.
Print heads have short life by snapper2402 ,Jun 10 '09
Pros: Can buy ink at Wal-Mart Cons: Short print head life, washed out printing and scanning, long print lead time
I bought a Kodak EASYSHARE 5100 All-In-One printer at Wal-Mart because the ads said the ink is inexpensive and because there is a dedicated tray for photo paper. The printer was easy to set up. Print quality was a little washed out but not bad, but it took a long time for the printer to start printing. Scanned documents were definitely washed out. The copy function was easy to use.
I just wanted a printer, scanner, and copier, but the EASYSHARE also lets you plug your Kodak camera into a USB port on the printer and print photos directly from the camera or upload them to your computer. I was not interested in that feature, and felt the software was taking over more of my computer than I wanted it to.
After two months of light use, the print quality deterioriated substantially, producing streaky pages. I checked the Kodak support Web site, which determined the print head needed to be replaced. Kodak sent me a new print head free of charge, which worked great at first. After two months of light use, the print quality deteriorated again. I guess I need to get another print head.
Pros: the set up and software seem to work well with my computer Cons: power supply problems so far waiting to get one that works
i bought the 5100 because I have a Kodak camera and liked the way it was set up for the camera the first one I purchased worked well printed a few pictures next evening would not power on at all took it back and exchanged it the second one printed the first print the whole table shook while it printed then it stopped and a burnt smell came from it I called Kodak and they are sending me one direct will see how it does hopefully better then the first two .
Pros: Operating cost (cheap cartridges); quality of pictures and documents, less memory taken on scanned docs. Cons: Long warm up and scanning adjustments.
I was talked into buying the Kodal Easyshare 5100 by a Kodak Rep at an electronics chain store. Initially I was sceptical about spending more money than I budgeted at the time, but then he showed me the price of the cartridges! What a difference from my previous experience with Lexmark!
I ended up giving it a try...
Pros: Terrific quality pictures and documents; excellent quality scanning (a typical .pdf file takes a lot less memory with same definition that it did with the Lexmark All-In-One), good value vs. cost ratio, and last but not least, operating cost (cartridges much cheaper that all other brands and they last at least as long, if not longer).
Cons: Slow to warm up and very slow in adjusting prior to scanning.
Pros: cheap cost of ink Cons: the price you pay is exactly what you get!
I have used EPSON for years and switched to the 5100 because of the reasonable ink price. The first 5100 I bought was returned because it would not print on the paper and kodak could not fix it. The second one would not print out of the box either, but this time the Kodak techs were able to resolve the issue. Once printing many pictures, I found myself very disappointed with the quality of the prints, even with the highest grade of kodak paper. the colors do not translate worth a damn to the paper like the EPSON did. the ultra premium high gloss paper is far from ultra glossy. Final word- I will pay the extra bucks for my EPSON ink to get the quality prints that I want and deserve. I am returning the 5100.
Pros: Good prints (both paper and photo). Great prices on ink cartridges. Cons: Big and loud. Spouse asked if I was making espresso.
Got the all-in-one from woot.com for $59.99 and thought I could not go wrong. Took about an hour to set up and install, but worked perfectly in all aspects (print, copy, scan) upon install. The single thing that took the longest to install was the firmware update, but that was not too much of an issue. Prints (whether paper or photo) were very clear and scanning was average. Having a home-based color printer was well worth the price! Yes it is BIG and noisy, but for a home office it works well. The price of the cartridges ($9.99 for black, $14.99 for color) is significantly lower than comparable models. I looked at the HP (and would have bought the C4385 if I'd found at a similar price)but the cartridges are twice the price. No problems with install (as previous reviews have listed), but I'm running XP SP2, which is fully supported.
What a piece of crap! The first time I set up this printer, the scanner function would not work. Kept getting getting error codes. So I uninstalled and re-installed, but same problem. I called Kodak and waited an hour on hold to reach someone. The man who I talked to was very nice and had me remove again and reinstall using WEB instead of the CD the printer came with. He told me that I should be all set and the printer should work for me. WRONG!! It would not work AT ALL! At least before it would copy and print! It wouldn't even shut off so it is now packed up and going back to the store! I should have listened to all of the reviews, but I thought that since my Kodak camera works great, that a printer from Kodak would be great also. Oh well, live and learn! I guess I'll try a Canon as all reviews for it are positive!
Pros: Beautiful photos. Fast printer. Cheaper ink. Cons: Problems everywhere: software locks up, dud ink cartridges, won't recalibrate, photo paper tray sticks.
Beautiful pictures, if you can get them to print. The updates take forever and crash our new, fast, DSL-serviced computer; the software locks up frequently; new ink cartridges don't necessarily work; recalibrating the printer after changing ink cartridges can take up to an hour of repeated attempts; and to top it all off, the photo paper tray sticks every other time.
Pros: None - cheaper products perform much better than this product. Cons: Reds in photo turn into magenta prints. Photos are worst quality EVER. Software application freezes.
Not only is this all-in-one hard to set up properly (forget the instructions) but I've yet to get a decent print. Red turns out as magenta, even after replacing cartridges. No way to adjust to get true colors. Very limited in scanning adjustments - can only scan at max of 600. Slow, slow, slow and application software freezes up every hour or so.
Giant door stop - piece of crap. Contact with Kodak produced answers that were not relevant to my question...just canned crap that had nothing to do with how to get a photo with correct color.
Don't buy this - lousy product, zero customer support.
Never buying Kodak again!!!!!!! by motheroftwoboy ,Jan 23 '09
Pros: It looks good. Cons: DOESN"T WORK!!!
This printer has cause more headaches than its worth. Just like every other review I have read the black ink suddenly stops working only after 2 months. Even after replacing the ink this printer printed one page right then the black ink stopped working again. Believe me the only good reviews listed on here must have been placed there by Kodak employees. Do NOT waste your money on this machine or any other Kodak product for that matter because their support stinks and their not helping out anybody that bought this paperweight.
Pros: low cost ink ,nice prints
low cost ink nice prints when working Cons: high cost! got about 200 prints out of 2 printers and several ink catridges
first one died in about 6 weeks returned to best buy to find the limit to store return is 30 days, after much ado,
searching support site ect emalied kodak ,finaly got a number to call .on hold over 45 minutes only to be disconnected ,emailed again and called tech and they sent out new printer fed ex next day, very impresive ,until
4 weeks later i go to change color catridge . and after changing .red light stays on saying change color ink . no printing scanning or anything possible, email to kodak gets reply to update firmware. which didnt help, called tech support and wated on hold over 50 minutes, while reading reviews on the web about the same prob .no one seemed to get theres fixed .so i decided not to wait on hold any longer. im cutting my losses.
I purchased the Kodak 5100 All-In-One on 12-31-07. The manufacturer failed to include the adapter and power source. I made several calls to their hotline to rectify the issue. After several failed promises by the representative to send the items, I went to Radio Shack and bought the adapter and power source myself.
Kodak 5100 replace ink cartridges printer wont work Kodak knows about problem almost impossible to get help from them or contact them very poor business practice putting unproven product on market and then abandoning customers KODAK never again
Pros: The ink is cheaper than HP. Cons: Would not print out of the box and the instructions are vague.
I bought this model last night and returned today. I went through the install and could not print test alignment card. The instructions are somewhat vague to do the setup. In this case the print head did not have the seal film that instructions identified to remove. I suspect this head was tested and because of no seal the jets are now plugged. Read on line of many similar complaints. To be honest, I had really high hopes on this one because of the low cost of ink. In shopping today for a replacement, I mentioned an interest in the Kodak model because of the cheap ink to the rep of a large printer supplier. This fellow seemed very knowledgeable and helpful. He said that he would not recommend Kodak because every one he sold came back with a failure issue. He was not aware of my bad experience so his comments I found to be also interesting. I am glad to see that some people have had good luck as I read reviews here. If any of you out there have had bad experience with this model, I encourage you to speak up as well.
This product sucks and Kodak should be ashamed of themselves! by sherrialicia ,Feb 19 '09
Pros: I can't think of a single good thing to say about this horrible product. Cons: EVERYTHING Big, loud, scanner doesn't work, eats up ink
I hate everything about this printer! I bought it because the ink is cheap, well that does no good when you have to replace it after printing a 15 page essay (your either not filling the ink cartiridges or your designing this printer to use alot of ink). And it's sucks that it's not compatible with some software programs (microsoft works word processer) my son can't even use it to do his homework. And you have NO IDEA this is the problem untill u spend an hour on the phone with kodak. When u try and print something from an uncompatible software program you get a white piece of paper that prints... nothing else. And what the h*ll is up with not being able to print using black ink if the color is empty!! And the heads on this thing are CRAP if you don't replace the ink within 12hrs of it running out your SCREWED!! Not even the scanner works right!
Pros: When it works, it works well. But very rarely works. Cons: Printhead is a piece of crap. Wont calibrate nor will it print.
This was a wonderful printer, when it ACTUALLY WORKED. I've had to calibrate and order new printheads countless times only to have to clean and replace the things two to three months later. I liked the cheap cost of the ink, but its not worth it when you have a machine that craps out on you consistently. Each timea new semester starts at school, I can't print out a thing and have to do the same process over again with the printhead.
DONT get this printer, its not worth the 99 bucks it costs.
My mom bought this printer for me for Christmas 2007. I always found it loud when printing and had various minor problems (like not loading paper, streaks through pictures, and now not printing colors at all). Now my print head won't work. I'm not about to replace it when I read how often other people have had to replace their print head. I did like the cheap ink and it arrives fast in the mail. However, you can't recycle the cartridges either. I guess I'm going back to Dell or HP. Kodak makes great cameras, why can't they make great printers too?
Worst Printer I have ever owned by kellyr931 ,Dec 28 '08
Pros: None. Cons: Everything.
This is by far the WORST printer I have ever owned. I have only had it for a little over a month and have already had to replace the ink cartridges ($25) and now after printing only about 5 pages trying to get it to work correctly it is saying the cartridges are low again! The print quality is beyond low, and the lines on the images are terrible when it does actually print something. I am ready to throw this in the garbage. Do not waste your money. Do not let the lure of low cost ink reel you in as it did me. It was also almost impossible to install and I wish I would've taken it back immediately. I am very disappointed in this printer.
Cool paper weight! BUYER BEWARE! by efreak ,Dec 27 '08
Pros: It hasn't burnt my house down yet! Cons: Piece of crap. Print heads are junk. Customer support is even worse.
This printer is an enormous pile of crap! Software sucks. Compatibility issues everywhere. I think this printer is possessed, as there is always lights flashing all over it, paper keeps getting eaten, and most times I tried to print, all I got was all kinds of burping and farting and growling noises, followed by a piece of half eaten paper with a few ink specs on it. I'm guessing the print head is shot again now, because I cant get it to do anything. I never even got through the first set of ink cartridges, they are still half full. I replaced them anyway, and waisted my money on new ones, but of course, it still wont print. Customer support is lousy, and honestly I'm sick of waiting an hour only to get disconnected. I think I will just take it outside, light it on fire, and roast some marshmellows over it... At least then I will get some use out of this horrindous pile of dung. Buyer Beware.
cheap price for a cheap product by pgaldes ,Apr 26 '09
Pros: good initial print quality friendly support staff - I've talked to several many times Cons: terrible software print quality doesn't last printer lasts less than a year
At first we thought we found a good printer at a good price and even told others about it. Print quality was better than expected. Cartidges are less expensive but we soon learned they print fewer sheets than other printer cartridges. We just go thru more cartidges - at least when the printer is working. It worked well for about 3 months then Kodak in it's infinite wisdom decided to update the software. The machine hasn't wotked right since. I have spent over 25 hours trying to fix and on the phone with their tech support removing and reinstalling software and going thru infinite fixes. Finally tech support said they couldn't fix it and sent the issue to their engineers. That was 6 months ago. I have emailed and called many many times since and they say they can't help but hteir engineers are working on it. I downloades a new update last week that now rendered the printer 100% useless. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!
think it is a peice of crap by gmcomputers ,Dec 25 '08
Pros: ink is cheap but a hundred buck printer should be better quality then a 29.00 Cons: just plain junk, replace the printhead every other week and you are good to go
I have had this peice of crap just a year today,I used 2 print cartridges in a year,so you can see I don't use it much.tried to use today and no text, just put in new cartridges(3rd)so thought print head needed cleaning, well wasted most of the ink trying to clean it and still no text, checked with kodak and they went thruogh a process and finally they are replacing the print head but think will get a better printer as I can see already this is a kodak joke
Pros: Promise of cheap ink Cons: Junk printing head
Like a lot of others, I have problem printing in black ink after 6 months usage. I tried replacing cartridge and cleaning haed to no avail. Bought 100$ worth of ink hoping to use it for 2 years. A cmplete loss. Stay away !!!
As the song goes...'if I had a rocket launcher'... by mastershane ,Dec 14 '08
Pros: Comic relief found in many of the negative reviews. Cons: Promoted for economical, quality printing. That is a 'con' job.
Same song, umpteenth verse. Second printhead in 1 year just died. As with many others, the black stopped producing. The printer will still produce an impressive color photo on 4x6 paper, but a simple word document on standard paper comes out blank. I did get a quick and free replacement last go round, but will probably opt for the garbage this time, since I don't have a rocket launcher to attempt my own repair...
Kodak 5100 what a disappointment by lozmat ,Mar 06 '08
Pros: great for word documents on normal paper and easy to set up and change ink Cons: wouldn't print what I wanted, only really recognises Kodak branded paper
I purchased the 5100 with high hopes as their small photo printers are fantastic, what a let down. It has been returned to the shop after 4 days. The only document that printed and was good quality was a word document, not what I bought the printer for, on trying to print photos no dark areas would print, apparently you cant use normal glossy paper, would have been nice if that had been put in the user guide. Then I tried to print some A4 pictures (note I used a 10.2 mega pixel camera) and they all came out pixelated and no shadows were present, I could have cried with frustration. Apparently the paper has a bar code so the printer recognises that it's Kodak paper and the quality of the paper. I spent a lot of time talking to the people at Kodak trying to fix the problem, a lot of hassle. Back into the box and back to the shop.
Don't recomend the Easy Share 5100 by epinions2008 ,Apr 25 '08
Pros: Cheap, satisfied with printing quality Cons: Can't use it because the software doesn't work.
I have had big problems with the software. First it installed a bunch of crap with the driver so that windows would pop up all the time and then it just stopped working.
I tried installing the new software version and it just doesn't install. I contacted Kodak, the phone support was just a machine, the online help was closed at 6 EST and they sent me this e-mail response: "Thank you for your question to Kodak Service and Support. We are
currently experiencing higher than anticipated volumes due to the overwhelming success of the All in One Printers. As a result, our response to your e-mail may be delayed."
you get what you pay for!!!! by bebe1976 ,Jun 02 '09
Pros: cheap with pretty pics Cons: cheap with pretty pics for 5 uses only
What I don't like about this product is: 1. printer head needed to be replaces after only 5 small jobs 2. hard to find where a printer head can be purchased 2. Kodak support team is useless 3. there are lines in the pics and the ink is fadden after about the 10th pirnt 4. spend money purchasing a good quality printer--cause you'll end up spending that amount on printerheads and new ink cartridges for this piece of crap!!! (you have to buy new ink cartridges for every printer head you buy--which is about every 4-5 uses depending on what and how much u print) 5. paid less than 100 bucks for it---should have known there was a catch 6. u get what u pay for
What I do like about this product is:
1. it's easy to install and hook up 2. it's light weight but I'm pretty sure you can find these same features in a better (a llittle more expensive, but better) printer

Pros: Cheap ink carts. Cons: Ink carts are used up quickly having to do maintenance. Very bulky and heavy.
I bought it directly from Kodak store. It is very heavy and bulky, really too big for my space. But I kept it and it worked OK for 6 months when I did the update from the Kodak AIO Home Center. The scanner quit working while using the Kodak software. I called the support and the tech said that I shouldn't have used the update feature in the Home Center, there were no warnings about this to me, that I should only do updates on the Kodak website. After many hours on the phone with several techs over several days, the last tech said they could not fix and I should talk to the Kodak store to get a refund. But the store manager said they would not give any refund because it had past beyond 30 days from purchase date. I tried to explain that the warranty says Kodak shall repair replace or reimburse at their discretion, but no matter. So I was left with the typical big corp. run-around.
