    Pros: Everything.
Cons: It is expensive. Too much food!

Summary: Kona Village is located on the West Coast of the Big Island. It is an all inclusive resort. We went to Kona Village for 5 nights during our 2 week honeymoon. This was the first trip to hawaii for both of us. We had received a brochure in the mail ... read more

Pros: For me, everything is a pro
Cons: They changed the store recently and put in too many clothes.

Summary: Let me start with my favorite memory of KVR. I hadn’t been able to visit for three or four years, and when I did come back, the first person I went to see was Auntie Eleanor, a lovely Hawaiian lady, now passed away, sadly. When she saw me she greeted ... read more

Pros: Secluded, all-inclusive, relaxing, top-notch service, great food
    Cons: Certain extras are expensive

Summary: If you're looking for a corporate hotel-style vacation with a plasma TV in your room and a blaring alarm clock to wake you up, then Kona Village is definitely NOT for you. However, if you want the most relaxing, unhurried, blissful escape in a TRULY ... read more

    Pros: The Hale experience
Cons: Poor beach, ice-bath pools, all-inclusive concept, over priced, two-class guset atmospere

Summary: If (as I heard too many times) your intent is to be at a "Cuise ship on land" go for it.  Otherwise, with all there is to do & see in Hawaii, the all-inclusive concept is a waste.  Especially when rough waters precluded the use of all of

  • Peaceful, tranquil, luxurious, excellent food

Pros: peaceful, tranquil, great food, luxurious
Cons: check in procedure is slow and the auto-gratuity choice is tacky

Summary: This is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Hawaii. The hales are luxurious, and are set in a big compound full of trees and flowers. The pathways to the beach, swimming pools, restaurants, etc are shaded and well lit at night but not too much.

    Pros: Every thing
Cons: that it is so far from home

Summary: This has to be the place to vacation on earth if you like beach and water. It is expensive but you can eat your weight in food each day if you choose to do so. The food is wonderful the lunch buffet is amazing. We had lamb chops fresh off the grill. Sid

    Pros: It is beautiful
    Cons: Everything else!

Summary: The fact that people like this place astounds me. The food is mediocre and atmosphere-- lame. It feels like summer camp for adults.
