by yusakugo Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, May 30 '02
Pros: Tiny camera, 3x Optical, 2 MegaPixel, wonder in photographic engineering
Cons: Weak Flash, HoHum Optics, Decent Battery Life, Lack Features vs. competition
I should stop walking into electronics stores... I just have too big a tendency to buy stuff :)

Actually, I found this tiny cute thing at CostCo. I couldn't believe how small this camera was... I know that I read about it but I didn't believe...

Not Quite Up To Snuff

by Darkmistress Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Aug 01 '06
Pros: small, good under the right conditions.
Cons: Slow shutter speed, slow processing, not good with landscapes
I’m in the market for a digital camera and, having not so long ago been really, really poor, I like to spend my money carefully. So first we research, then we test, then (after that whole P hilips MCM530 CD Shelf ...

Amazing for the size!

by velodrome2 , Apr 08 '02
Pros: Amazingly small, metal skin, easy to use, decent battery life, no Windows drivers needed
Cons: The folded lens compromises image quality, a little shy on features--see review
GOOD THINGS:

You don't appreciate how small this thing is until you sit it next to any other real digital camera on the market. I have two Olympus models, a C-2040Z and a Brio D-150. I thought the D-150 was small, but the Dimage X makes it...

The X: What a camera!!!

by wirelessguy , Sep 03 '02
Pros: Size does matter
Cons: Lack of features
Since I was preparing to go on a cruise, I need to find a camera that would be small enough to fit in a shirt or pant pocket. Anything larger and I knew I wouldn't use it (as is the case with my old Minolta SLR). After doing some research I finally...

I love this little camera!

by teripop , Jun 09 '02
Pros: So tiny and portable. Easy. Durable. Makes short movies. Quality seems better than 2 Megapixel.
Cons: 8 megabyte SD card does not store many pictures. Count on buying more storage media.
I spent two years searching for a digital camera. I read every review I could get my hands on and waited for prices to drop. At first I had decided to buy AT LEAST a 3 megapixel digital camera and had narrowed it down to several brands. Finally, I...

Size over image quality.

by p18303 , Oct 02 '02
Pros: Size. Size. Size.
Cons: Image quality is satisfactory, not outstanding.
This is the first digital camera I have owned. I am into gadgets, but I have stayed away from digital cameras mainly because they have been reltively expensive (compared to 35mm SLR's), with far less flexibility and image quality. My previous...

The size of the Minolta Dimage X opens new avenues for digital cameras. In addition to stealth photo ops., this camera begs to be included in any outing. I keep mine with my keys and wallet so it comes everywhere with me and I never miss digitally...

Pros: Very portable. Stylish, too!
Cons: Compromised image quality.
Dimage X, no doubt, the smallest 3x digital out there.

A great little camera for the average user!

by basia277 , Jun 06 '03
Pros: Size, durability, rechargeable battery, long-battery life
Cons: Lens in an awkward spot, features sometimes hard to access
My husband and I purchased the Dimage X right before our honeymoon in New Zealand. We took it along with us and were so pleased!

I had owned digital cameras in the past that had such poor battery life that I had to constantly buy new batteries...

Dimage X will change everything in the Point and Shoot Category!

by alanpgh , Mar 28 '02
Pros: Most Compact & Lightweight 3X optical I have seen, long battery life, audio annotation, easy navigation
Cons: Very few cons!
This is an amazing camera. It makes the S110 Elph seem large! I bought the Dimage X to replace my Elph.

This cam has very long battery life and a 3X optical zoom. But, the zooming is all done inside the camera! Amazing. Image quality is...

expensive toy

by mmj2ca , Sep 23 '02
Pros: Small, stylish, fast.
Cons: Mediocre image quality, trouble focussing indoors, anemic flash, not robust.
I bought this camera knowing that the image quality wasn't great. But I wanted something I could carry unobtrusively with me when going to social functions or when hiking and sightseeing. Unfortunately, the camera was good for neither.

Great little camera

by stealthone , Feb 04 '06
Pros: Function - durability - size
Cons: battery life - location of lens opening (See text)
Only from the minds of Minolta - could the concept of a periscope be incorporated into a digital camera! Mine is the original Minolta, prior to the Konica-Minolta labeling. It is the perfect camera! It is shirt pocket perfect, yet packed with more ...
