Pros: Feels great, very little lag, impressive zoom Cons: Some slight picture degradation at high zoom
The Minolta Dimage Z6 is the next generation after the D5. There aren't a tremendous amount of difference between the two, but for those who are upgrading from an older digital camera or are just entering the digital photography world, the Dimage Z6 is ...
Pros: High-end camera with mid-level price tag! Includes some features found only on high-end cameras! Terrific! Cons: Slightly complicated at first; accessories difficult to use at first.
We all have to face a few facts in life when it comes to purchasing digital cameras. The Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 shows there are cameras out there with the ability to offer the most at the least possible cost. For most people, money does play a ...
Pros: Auto, adjustable, manual. Great zoom. Good pictures. Fast auto focus. Best Image Stabilization. Excellent value! Cons: Menus could be more intuitive. Slightly slow AF at long end of zoom
I am not a novice, but this is my first digital camera. I no longer want to lug around a lot of equipment. With much diligent testing of many digital cameras, it took me over a month to choose this one. Is it perfect…NO…but for less than $300 on line, it ...
Pros: great pictures easy to use video function Cons: could be smaller
A tough, reliable, and versatile camera especially when you learn to use most of its capabilities. It has good balance and feels comfortable while working. I have had this camera for three years and while working as a home inspector for insurance ...
Pros: Awesome in every way except.... Cons: If Windows crashes while your camera is connected, the Z6 is toast....
This camera is awesome in everyway. Well, maybe it could be a little simpler. In auto mode, once the camera focuses, you simply can not take a blurry photo. There is just one drawback. Reliability depends on Windows reliability for us PC users. My ...
Pros: Photo quality, ease of use, features Cons: None? Haven't had it long enough that any jump out.
I bought this camera as a birthday present for myself. I was getting ready to go on a long-planned overseas trip and decided I needed something to take some really good pictures. I wanted something with a moderate mega-pixel resolution but with some ...
Good camera if your subject is slow moving! by quapawv ,Mar 05 '07
Pros: crisp pictures, easy to use, durable Cons: Horrible shutter lag with use of the flash
I got this camera for Christmas in 2005. I wanted a reasonably priced digital to take pictures of our young child, our dogs, and my horses. I have gotten some excellent pictures with this camera. It's easy to use, the specialized settings work very well, and pictures taken with the correct flash or shutter settings are very clear. But I hate the camera. The shutter lag with the flash is so bad that half my pictures end up being the back of a head, or my subject is completely gone by the time the picture is taken. I am so frustrated, I plan to get rid of this camera and invest in a DSLR.
Konica Minolta Ease of use 6 MP DiMAGE Z6 by foruandme ,Oct 07 '05
Pros: Sharp images, easy to use, MANUAL FOCUS, 12X Zoom with Stabilization, uses AA batteries Cons: Uses 4 AA batteries vs 2 AA, purchase a 15 minute battery charger.
I purchased the Konica Minolta for my wife who wanted a camera she could pick up, manual focus if necessary, zoom, (have 10X plus optical, 3X zoom just isn't acceptable) and click to produce sharp, properly exposed images. This camera excels at all. 1. Easy to handle, ergonomic. 2. Able to focus manually. 3. Zoom with stabilization meets / exceeds expectations. 4. Images are sharp and exposed properly using the auto setting (which most people use).
Pros: Good battery life. Picture quality. Features. Cons: None.
I was looking for something to get me into a photography hobby without breaking the bank. This cam has been great full with all the options of the expensive models but at a fraction of the price.
The picture quality is actually really good and natural not oversaturated like most point and click cams ive seen.
I founf this to be a great starter cam and when I feel more comfortable I may move up to a fuji model, but until now im very happy with this cam.
Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z6 - great buy by softfocus ,Oct 03 '06
Pros: great images, great value Cons: so-so viewfinder
This is an excellent camera which is now orphaned because of KM's corporate troubles. I was able to pickup one for under $300 (Canadian) and have been very pleased with the results.
I saw one complaint about the manual flash, but I think their system is great. It's even possible to adjust the relative flash intensity up or down by several stops - this is something I've never seen on this level of camera before. The camera is quick and gives terrific images. The only gripe I have about it is the viewfinder - the image is not very good. The LCD screen is fine, but there are times when a viewfinder is preferable and I am forced to take things on faith looking at their mediocre screen.
