Pros: simple to use, reasonable price Cons: spotty customer service
This machine is my first and Ive had it for 7 months. While I enjoy Starbucks consistent products, I realized I was spending quite a bit of dough for mochas (its extra for organic milk) and often found myself fleeing their lounge area when ...
Pros: Small, often on sale. Make a full-bodied cup. Accepts mugs for longer "pulls."
Cons: Evacuates steam pressure, drip plate fills quickly.
I own 4 pump machines (Saeco, etc.), but do not consider myself an expert. I even buy store-ground espresso, even though I have my own roaster and grinder. So I am not an enthusiast.
This little machine does a fine job as a "personal espresso...
Pros: Great little espresso machine for the price. Very easy to use. Cons: Only makes "single" shot espresso's, and a bit of a mess to clean.
The Krups Espremio FNP1 is a great little espresso machine for only $80. I really like the fact that you can fit a regular size mug under the filter basket for cappuccinos and lattes. It produces a very acceptable espresso, and the steam system works ...
Pros: Reasonable cost. counter-top Small. Built-in steamer. Cons: Coffee quality very poor. Must reload grounds for each small cup.
This was a replacement for a Krups espresso machine that I had for about 4 years. That model made probably 500 cycles of espresso before the power button popped off. I was happy with this performance, so I decided to go for another Krups. This FNP1 ...
Pros: Nice Design - Easy to clean - Removable water tank. Cons: Poor Pressure, Weak Espresso, Shallow filter, only one cup at a time.
Krups has always been known for their coffee/espresso machines. There is not a major store that doesn't carry this brand. Krups overall has been a very respectful company, until lately, where I find they are releasing machines that would of not been of...
I've had some issues with this baby! by andrenna ,Apr 28 '05
Pros: Easy to use and does the job... at least for iced lattes. Cons: No manual included, and I've had problems with the steamer.
I'm just your average college girl trying to make her own lattes at home, so I picked up this espresso machine for $99 at my local Bed Bath & Beyond. (I felt a little cheated after reading the review of the person who got their machine for $10!) At first it worked fine, making a nice (single) shot of espresso. But it does leak water when making a shot. (Maybe it's because I use pods instead of regular grounds?) That didn't bother me too much, but then I started having another problem! I tried to steam some milk, and it completely broke down on me. Water began to spew everywhere, and the result was a broken messy espresso machine. Fortunately, Bed Bath & Beyond has a great return policy. I easily exchanged it for a brand new machine. But now I am having the same problem with my new machine! Everytime I try to steam milk, the steam comes from the drip area instead. I'm beginning to suspect it might be something I'm doing and not the machine's fault. If anyone has any idea, please let me know!
Pros: Well priced, compact design and produces great espresso. Cons: The machine is a louder than I would like.
I have just purchased the Krups Espremio Espresso maker after quickly going through three cheaper makers by other manufacturers. I was a little worried when I started the machine up as it was a little louder than I first expected. The results however were well worth it. My problem has always been that my cappuccinos have not been hot enough because the steam runs out. I made two lovely hot drinks with this machine and still had half a tank of water left. It heats up very quickly and creates a good crema. I think it's very well priced for a pump driven machine.
