This coffee maker has made my life easier by far. While I love to drink caffenated coffee, others who visit me like decaf. I can please us both at the same time. With this machine I can brew two pots of coffee. This is also a great feature when...
Pros: No worry about the coffee getting boiled down to the consistency of motor oil. Cons: The coffee is not HOT.
I regret buying this coffeemaker. I bought it because I drink decaf and my husband drinks regular, and I thought it would be easier than hauling out 2 coffeemakers. I also thought it would be nice to have a carafe to move with me, and not worry ...
Pros: Can't find any. Cons: No drip through lid. Brewing section sits on top of the carafe. Coffee isn't hot!
My husband likes regular and I only drink decaf so I was thrilled when I saw this duo coffee maker. I ordered it from iKitchen.com but it was on back order. I decided to wait the 2 months to receive it and regret that decision big time. I've had many ...
Pros: None Cons: junky parts, doesn't stay hot, horrible design, no auto turnoff
My husband I entertain a lot and thought the Krups Duo Thek would be perfect for us, especially since we've owned Krups coffeemakers in the past and considered them to be quality products. This coffeemaker is not a quality product!!! Where do I ...
Pros: Doesn't drip while pouring, can offer decaf and regular at the same time. Cons: haven't found any yet!
Invited to dinner last night and saw how the hostess could offer both decaf and regular - and a fine brew at that. Our current thermal, a Black and Decker, drips whenever I pour a cup - no matter what I do. Slow, fast, opening the top more, or less: a huge puddle on my kitchen counter. This carafe poured without a drip at all. I'm buying it today.
Good concept, but not without problems by beachgal505 ,Nov 03 '04
Pros: Good coffee, nice looking machine, can brew two pots at the same time Cons: Not automatic, lid poorly designed, value for cost
I've owned this coffee maker for over a year. Although I like the ability to make a pot each of decaf and regular or flavored and non, I am a little disappointed in it for the price. I found that you MUST screw the lid on properly or it is almost impossible to remove. This coffee maker is not automatic in any way. You must turn it on and off manually. For the price, all you are getting is the ability to make two pots of coffee simultaneously. It makes a good cup of coffee, providing you begin with a decent product. I use RO water and that might be a factor.
I was sold by the Krups name. If I had to do it again, I'd look for a dual coffee maker with more convenient features.
