Pros: Very attractive, looks like nice furniture, dogs love it. Cons: More expensive than pillow beds (large wood is $135)
The thing I dislike about the traditional dog bed that sits on the floor like a big pillow is that it tends to collect a lot of dog hair and dirt. So I looked for a bed with a frame, so I could vacuum underneath and keep the area around it neater. I ...

Pros: Comfortable for big dogs, keeps them off of cold, hard floors.
Cons: Legs were not able to withstand my dog jumping on and off the bed.
I bought two of the xl Kuranda beds for my great danes. I did a lot of researching on suitable beds for very large breed dogs. My four year old dane(Zues)has had surgery on his rear leg for a torn ligament and also suffers from arthritis. These sounded ...

Pros: Easy to clean, can't be destroyed, comfortable for the dogs Cons: Have to order a new canvas every few years ($20)
Hello, I can't believe I found an item that I love so much on Epinions. I have owned two of the Kuranda Dog beds for about three years now. I tell everyone who is looking for a dog bed that this is the one to buy. I have two large dobermans who ...

Perfect bed for dogs sleeping away from home.
by asacdawn ,Nov 23 '06
Pros: Easy to clean
Sturdy & well built.
Comfortable for any dog. Cons: Assembly required (not hard)
I bought 2 large beds from Kuranda for my own dogs, and was so pleased, I ordered 3 more for dogs I dog-sit, then 2 more a year latter. The beds are all working out great. Every dog that has one available to use, has used it. I haven't seen any dogs have issue with "squeaking" during movement when getting on or off the bed (I've read about this being an issue). They are very sturdy, easy to clean and hang on the kennel wall when not being used. The assembly is easy, but the last corner is sometimes a challenge due to the taunt stretch of the canvas. I interpret this as a sign of quality, because once it's together, it's not going to come apart. These beds are the best, I wouldn't recommend even looking elsewhere.

Worth the Money
by quapawv ,Dec 30 '04
Pros: chew proof, soft and supportive, advantages to being above the ground Cons: none
After recommendations from a message board and reading the reviews on here, I purchased 2 Kuranda beds for our german shepherds. We have a 1 year old puppy that is a serious bed ripper, as well as an arthritic 9 year old that needs a soft place to lay and this bed was the perfect solution. The dogs adore their beds--the older dog isn't nearly as stiff, and best of all the beds are still in one piece. I got the nylon mesh for ventilation and to allow water to drip through, since we live in a relatively warm, wet climate (the Mid South) and I'm very happy with the material. I wholeheartedly recommend Kuranda beds.

Kuranda $150 Bed Fell Apart
by rydslo ,Feb 07 '07
Pros: NONE Cons: Expensive, falls apart, cot sags, difficult to put together
Bought the large, chew proof Kuranda bed for my great dane and bullmastiff ... it fell apart. The corners never fit right and when they broke, we replaced the corner units and then they broke again. The fabric also sags and never regains its shape. I bought the same type of cot bed on ebay for less than half of the price, and its construction and cordura cot are much better quality.

Kuranda Bed
by leeesa ,Jul 11 '06
Pros: durable
easy to clean Cons: none
As a volunteer at a kennel, these kuranda beds are great! Easy to hose off after dog elimination, and durable so the dogs can't easily scratch and poke holes. Beds are also really comfortable and low to the ground for older arthritic dogs.
