Pros: There is a lot to do and it's easy enough for anyone to get into. Cons: Not the most challenging and intense action game out there.
For some this is a dream come true. Instead of buying multiple games to just get part of the story, this one game has all of the first three Star Wars (Episodes I to III) films in one package here. There is just one problem though; everything ...

Pros: over 30 characters, a cooperative mode, multiple bonus features, and funny scenes Cons: easy and short
LEGO Star Wars for GameCube, although short and relatively easy provides good gameplay, humorous plots, and multiple bonus features: all of which are immersed in the Star Wars universe (Episodes I, II, III). The gameplay of LEGO Star Wars is greatly ...

Pros: Suitability for all ages; replayability Cons: A few minor technical problems
We inherited a GameCube and a number of games (Lego Star Wars was NOT among them) from a family member. My six-year-old son was extremely excited and his parents quite concerned. He was shortly disappointed in his ability to play the games, and we had to ...

Great for all ages
by ppitis ,Nov 22 '06
Pros: fun for all ages, good graphics Cons: camera angles, cooperative mode
This is a game everyone in the family can get into. The game play is challenging without being too difficult. Even my 8 year old can master all the levels. Speaking of levels the game takes you through all three episodes of the original trilogy.
The graphics are good but sometimes the camera angle gets a little out of wack.In cooperative mode characters are too closely linked together which restricts each character from going where they choose. Sound effects are also good including some bits from the movies.
Just in case you get bored playing through the story included are a number of other games to play which are a nice change of pace.

Excellent for young kids
by happymom101 ,Jan 01 '06
Pros: Terrific graphics and true to Legos. Cons: Players can attack each other when they play together.
I found this game to be excellent for my kids because although it is a fighting game, their is no blood or dead bodies lying about. Instead, each character is made up of Legos, just like the Star Wars Lego figures you buy at the store. This really attracted my kids to the game since they are Star Wars fans and have recently gotten into Legos.
As a mother, I do allow my kids to play video games but am very picky not to let them play games beyond their rating. I would say this game is perfect for kids of all ages. The characters can die, but they do not bleed or spew guts. Rather the Lego pieces break apart, the same as if you had built something with Legos and dropped it. I thought it made the game cute rather than scary. The graphics are excellent as well.
I have two sons and I like that the game allowed for two players to play together at the same time. The only thing is that the players can attack each other as well. Otherwise, this game is perfect for kids of all ages.

Great Game! Shows no Blood
by tcqtpie ,Feb 04 '08
Pros: No violence.Great for ALL ages.Different levels to keep them Interested! Cons: It's Challenging, but eventually you can beat it.
Star Wars is a Classic for any Generation, Adults and children alike. Lego Star Wars has some challenges that will give even Adults Fun too. It features a vast number of unlock-ables & extras that can only be completed by collecting certain items. Then collecting large enough numbers of the game's Money, known as bits. Some of the levels can be challenging to beat with enough numbers of bits, but some bits are lost when a character dies. The Violence, if you want to call it that, is actually kinda Cute. For example: a character who gets "killed" is simply brought back to life, "Lego building-style". Instead of Gore or Blood, the character's lego head snaps off. This game is an outstanding choice for children. The graphics are Superb, realistic & they portray the "Lego" & "Star Wars" themes Beautifully! I originally got it for my 11yr. old son, but my 9yr. old daughter ended up wanting to play it too. I tried to play it, and just fell in love with the Music, antics, and whole "game experience". I recommend and rate this game 5 Stars! From a Mom's point of view & my children's it is a Huge Thumbs up!
