Great phone. (Compared with Mot. StarTac 7868W)

by stephenu , Jun 06 '01
Pros: Excellent reception/broadcast. Very small, tri-mode, exterior LCD, SMS, vibrate+ring.
Cons: Horrible user manual and insulting manufacturer support.
I did it! I let my desire for toys and gadgets overcome my intentions to be conservative
and enjoy the awesome StarTac 7868W. But it paid off.

I’m in NY/NJ using Verizon Wireless. According to all my research so far, Verizon is the...

Finally found the phone for me!

by backwoodsbum , Sep 24 '01
Pros: Small size, great reception, ergonomic design, loaded with features.
Cons: Less than stellar manual, price varies greatly, button placement could be awkward for lefties.
My family and I recently decided to switch phone services and our old Nokia 5120's were not compatible with the Verizon service we chose so guess what...it's new phone time :) The dealer we chose had four phones that were available, the Audiovox...

"Q" couldn't have made a better phone for 007 than the LG TM510 Silver.

by stiffler , Mar 25 '02
Pros: STYLISH! Sleek hi-tech appearance, compact, light, long battery, durable, feature full.
Cons: Hard to open one handed, calendar isn't large memory-wise.
My experience with the LG TM510 Silver:
I've recently (January 2002) purchased the LG TM510 Silver model from Radio Shack with Verizon as my wireless service provider. I love this phone. It’s small but doesn’t get lost or fall out of your...

Little Phone with Lots of Power

by sllesq , Jun 29 '02
Pros: Small, Great battery life, Clear reception, Easy 1-touch dialing, Outside Caller ID display
Cons: Phone book not alphabetical, Manual not helpful, Menus sometimes cumbersome
I had been using a Motorola StarTac phone for 2 years when I purchased the LG-TM510. The first thing I noticed was how small it is. I thought my StarTac was small, well the LG easily fits in the change pockets of my favorites overalls, while the...

Quirky but good phone

by skutsch , Jul 21 '01
Pros: Small, good call clarity, useful outside mini display
Cons: Bad manual, quirky menus, so-so battery
This is very good phone with unfortunate flaws.

The good stuff:

It's small, one of the smallest phones out there. Although a trifle on the thick side and with a stubby antenna that sticks up, you could still forget you had it in a...

Good phone, could be great though...

by nick1326 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jan 07 '02
Pros: great display, inner and outer, with indigo color, decent reception
Cons: terrible phone book if you're used to motorola, bad manual, dropped calls
I felt obligated to write this review, because I've gone through so many cell phones and can tell you the pros and cons of all of them in an unbiased fashion. In between my Motorola Vader and 8160, I briefly used an LG 510 because I loved the outside...

My take on the 510

by testman , Mar 17 '02
Pros: External display with battery/signal/cid size, cost
Cons: Lgi's reputation, customer support, battery life
Honestly my opinion in regards to this phone has changed over time. I started out thinking of it as the poor man's V60C. I was a Motorola fanatic, and this phone was crucial in drawing me from Motorola. In my normal way I'll start with the negatives...

Good Things In A Small Package

by jbm19020 , Jun 20 '01
Pros: Small size, good looks, voice dialing, good clarity and volume, decent battery life.
Cons: Users manual could be a little clearer and more detailed.
I have had a number of cell phones over the past years. Including Qualcomm, 3 Motorola Startac's, Nokia, Audiovox and last a Kyocera 2035a (Qualcomm).

Let me say that I love my new LGIC LG-TM510. With one small exception it does every thing...

I love my LG TM510

by gadgetgeek22 , Sep 11 '01
Pros: very small
Cons: battery and phone book
I was dying to leave Sprint. I have had enough of their crappy service and phones. I used to have a boring Startac that always dropped calls. So I jumped onto the Verizon bandwagon, after seeing all those TV commercials.

Walking into the...

LGIC TM 510

by lfinato , Aug 05 '01
Pros: Lots of features and quality for the money.
Cons: Absolutely stupid phone book, can't read display with sun glasses on.
First and foremost call quality is VERY good, as good as a StarTac. Lots of information and features packed into a well thought out (ergonomically) design. Controls and buttons work well and have a quality feel. Having a screen on the outside is a great...

I'VE TRIED MANY CELL PHONES! AND THIS IS THE WINNER!

by jamierez , Jul 06 '01
Pros: Clarity, size
Cons: Menu and phonebook
I have owned various Nokias, Audiovoxes, Samsungs, StarTacs, Ericcsons, and Kyoceras. And this phone, the LG-TM510, is the best phone I've come across in my 5 years of owning a cell phone.

The phone has many features including a calendar,...

Pros: external display, size
Cons: size, dropped calls, volume, menus and phonebook
I am a long time Bell Atlantic/Verizon wireless customer and I purchased this phone after having problems with 4 of the new V60c phones. I purchased this phone because it was less than half the price of the motorola V60c, it feels more solid, and I had...

4 out of 5 car salesman recommend it!

by rickstoys , Jan 24 '02
Pros: Size, build quality, battery life, LCD features, clarity!
Cons: manual is okay but confusing at times.
I sell cars at a huge dealership in So Cal. There are 50 salespeople on staff and 2/3rds of the sales force use the LG-TM510.

For me, the main benefit is size and clarity. Purchase the leather case you get a handy belt clip that allows the...
