Pros: Extra space with cutlery rack, extremely quiet, steam option, dishwasher light, and half load option Cons: Expensive, cutlery doesn't get as clean in separate rack, can hold only four wine glasses
We purchased this dishwasher in November 2007 to replace an underperforming GE profile. It was a difficult decision to spend this kind of money on a dishwasher when there were so many other options for a lot less money. In the end, two features sold us: ...
Pros: Large Capacity, Third Utensil Rack, Quiet, Nice Styling. Cons: Too Expensive, Poor Cleaning
I bought this machine because it was sylish and had been marked down from $1500 to $579 on clearance. It wasn't even worth the $579, to be perfectly honest.Overall, the LG LDF9810 dishwasher is not a bad design, however there are a couple ...
Pros: Very Quiet! Cleans great! Has area to keep baby supplies safe! Cons: Expensive
Reading these reviews that people have said about the LG Dishwasher, scares me! Unless I have just been lucky, I have had ZERO problems with mine. We have had it for 2 years plus I had the model up in another house for a year before we sold that house. ...
We had our "high end" LG dishwasher catch on fire and my son was the only one home. He came home from school, smelled smoke and opened the door to flames shooting out of the dishwasher! Fortunately he was unhurt because he used his head and ...
Pros: Was quiet when it worked. Looks pretty. Large interior. Cool blue lights. Cons: Doesnt clean dishes. Doesn't dry dishes. constant break downs!
Where do I start! I baught the most expensive "european style" (no element on outside) dishwasher in the store. Cost me a fortune as for dishwashers go. Got it home, hooked it up and it would make a LOUD GRRRRRRing noise then ...
life is not good with an lg dishwasher by milstin ,May 18 '08
Pros: quiet Cons: deffective...bad bad customer service
I had my pricey LG for 4 months when the motor seized. When the repair guy came he said that the motor was on back order and i would have to wait for it come in. Called to LG customer service and got no where , actualy got a customer service rep who would not help me or transfer my call. After a month of waiting and calling I finally got someone who knew the meaning of customer service and agreed that this was unacceptable and that I could return this defective dishwasher. Needless to say I will not be replacing it with an LG!!
Broke down w/in 4 months. Had it fixed twice; still wouldn't work. Received a replacement, which ALSO did not work! Gave up and demanded my money back...finally received a refund around a month later. Then I went and bought a KitchenAid; it rocks!
Don't make my mistake--they're horrible. Don't clean or dry, and leave rinse streaks. by sforsythe ,Jan 31 '08
Pros: They're really quiet & pretty. Cons: They don't wash or rinse dishes and LG Service is horrible
Installed 12/11/07. By 1/31/08, I've had three service calls & a fourth is scheduled. The service companies don't want to come back out because they can't find a problem. (One that was identified was that I have hard water. Old dishwasher worked just fine with my water.) Activated a water softner and still dirty, streaked, spotted dishes. Told I have to stand at my sink and run hot water before I start the dishwasher to ensure water is hot enough to clean....defeats the whole feature of "Delayed Start" doesn't it?
LG won't respond beyond sending another subcontracted service call...from the same company that's been called out twice and can't find a reason. Followed every tip in the manual, drove around town buying supplemental cleaning agents the service reps suggested...I hate it and want my money back.
I bought this dishwasher based on experience with LG Clothes Washer & Dryer - what a mistake! The dishwasher cleans well enough but leaves the plates, cups and utensils dripping with water. I called LG Customer Service and they said that a "few water droplets" are normal. I can tell you it leaves a lot more than a little water, they are soaked even after sitting overnight. My main problem is that I have painted cabinets in my kitchen and putting wet dishes on painted surfaces can cause chipping and cracking. What a mess!!!
Pros: I can't wait to beat it with a baseball bat. Cons: Read the review
The LG Nightmare
In 2006 we bought a brand new LG Dishwasher. It looked really cool and had a ton of features. Within 9 months of the purchase date it broke down. Service call, after service call the machine could not be repaired. One night we the damn thing almost caught on fire. After the near fire LG just told me to unplug it and they would send out a repair man again. Since the parts all come out of Korea every repair takes at least 4 to 6 weeks. So, about 4 weeks later we were finally able to plug it back in. Sometimes it would work but most of the time it didn't. After several more repairs the dishwasher had been rebuilt from the ground up and still wasn't completely functional. The repair company gave up and deemed the dishwasher un-repairable. They refuse to take anymore service agreements from LG. Not only from my case but, because every service agreement that they have with LG ends up this way.
I also submitted a complaint to the BBB but, it did me no good.
1st LG product and will be the last by italfem ,Feb 01 '09
Pros: Looks nice, sealed on all sides, quiet, hidden controls, Cons: Doesn't flush with cabinets, poor results, dishes remain wet, water doesnt heat up
My brand new $1500 LG Dishwasher is a hunk of junk. From day one I've had problems; tub not completely drained, moldy smell, water never heats up and results in poor cleaning. Called Best Buy and due to their 30 day policy, would not take it back. I had LG send out a service rep & he said there is nothing wrong with the dishwasher, it's everything I'm doing wrong. I decided to try his tips and of course, no change. He even said I needed to run the hot water in the sink before running the dishwasher. What's the heater for? Even after doing this, I opened up the dishwasher and still the water is cold. Best Buy won't work with me so I guess I'll have the service rep out again & again, until they are sick of me & can issue an RA.
Pros: Beautiful outside appearance, blue LED lighting inside. Cons: Doesn't wash, won't dry dishes. Moldy, swampy smell.
It is fraud to charge $1500 for this dishwasher. I've owned Bosch, Gaggenau (same thing), and Asko. This is pretty but that is all. We're going back to Asko or Bosch very soon.
