LG LMVM2055 1100 Watts Convection / Microwave Oven

Pros: Good styling, easy access controls
Cons: It only works part of the time!!

I agree with the first review. I bought my LG in September and have had the same problem- it just stops completely sometimes - none of the controls respond. The first LG recommended service shop had the oven for three weeks, said they replaced all the parts but a month later it was doing the same thing. The second service shop has been out three times and we are waiting (again) for parts. Maybe this time they've got it - the tech called LG from my home and they informed him that yes there was a major problem and the oven would do everything that mine had been doing. I don't know what the part is that is to be replaced but its a major component. LG SHOULD HAVE ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN but they did not.

Pros: Liked design and it worked well, when it worked.
Cons: Product problems according to service agent. Long waits on the phone for customer service.

I bought this microwave because of the design and I had heard LG products were good. Home Depot also said LG was good. I liked the fact that the controls were on the door and not on the side. Oven worked great for two months then failed, stopped working altogether. Called LG customer service on December 24 and they gave me the number of local service center. Oven was picked up December 26, agent advised this was not the first problem with this oven. It is now January 4 and I still do not have the oven back. I am on the phone now with LG and have been for over half an hour. Terrible service and long waits on the phone. Must have lots on problem at LG.
