Pros: Cleans well.
Highly energy and water-efficient.
Good controls, easy to use. Cons: No significant irritations.
Summary: The product: LG front-loading washing machine WM1814CW We are very pleased with this washer. We’ve had it for about 6 weeks now. We do one or two loads a day, most days. After our previous washer (a top-loader) failed, I spent two weeks ... read more

Summary: If i could afford to buy another set, i would throw this one to the curb. But, they are only 2 years old.It does not clean, clothes come out still smelling dirty. I probably could spit and have more wash water. Forget ever trying to wash a ... read more

Pros: really none at this time - when purchased - thought low water use a plus Cons: LE Error and no way to rectify or empty tub to get out wet laundry
Summary: The machine is about a year and a few months old now and it gave LE code errors when first purchased (within first three weeks) unplugged for ~30 minutes and 'disappeared' - well at least I thought so, until yesterday when my wife mentioned the washer ... read more

Pros: Cleaner clothes and the ability to do more loads in less time. Cons: Not really any.
Summary: I bought this set (1814 and 2514) about a month or so ago. It replaced a top loading Kenmore set - vintage 1996. We have a pier and beam house, and the utility room has slate over cement board. We've had no problems with excessive vibrations. We ... read more

Pros: Ease of use, buttons self explanatory. Good instruction manual. Cons: Price, it would be nice if they cost the same as a top loader.
Summary: You can not go wrong for the price. Do your homework. This unit is a Large Washer, Not A KING SIZE! If you have a large family you might want a larger machine, but for 2 or three people this machine rules. I read hundreds of reviews and noticed, people ... read more

Pros: Smooth running. Strong machine seems very solid. Water saver. Cons: Just a little pricey.
Summary: So far so good. Just over 5 months and nothing but a good experience. Usually run 2 loads per day and this machine is so superior to the Maytag Neptune that it replaced. Most reviews indicate that this LG WM1814CM is noisy. Have NOT found that to be the ... read more

Pros: So far I'm pleased with the way my clothes are turning out from the wash. Cons: LG quality assurance and customer service is questionable.
Summary: I usually read reviews with the presumption that some people will never be happy. Just so you know, I'm usually happy. The first washer and dryer that were delivered were both defective - the door to the washer wouldn't close and the terminal block on ... read more

Pros: Washes clothes very well, spins them almost dry, uses relatively little water. Cons: Kind of noisy. Long-term reliability unknown.
Summary: I've been using the washer every day, 1-2 loads for about 4 months. No problems so far. It cleans the clothes very well and never rips or shreds them like some top loaders will do by twisting them around the agitator. The controls are easy to use. I have ... read more

Pros: Quieter & does not vibrate as much as my old Neptune washer. Cons: Water pipes rattle at the beginning of the wash cycle.
Summary: Just bought the washer 12/6/05. Actually quieter than my three year old Maytag Neptune that I will never buy again. Some one else said in the LG epinions that there is water left after each wash under the front door seal. The salesman at Home Depot said ... read more

Pros: Design, simple to use, energy saving, price Cons: Nothing yet
Summary: Brought it from HomeDepot about 2 months ago, with the 50.00 rebate from LG, free shipping, 10% off and free gift card. It's on a concrete floor and there's no vibration at all. I thought I have to level the machine first but it's self adjusted, so I ... read more

Pros: Looks nice, large capacity, energy efficient and uses less water Cons: not as quiet a salesman promoted, unsure if washes properly, error messages
Summary: Bought the LG WM1814CW Front Loading Washer and LG DLE2514W Electric Dryer Package from Future shop last fall. Truthfully can't say I love it, can't say I hate it. 1)In the beginning we were having problems with the noise level. I don't think it's ... read more

Pros: Best Washer I have ever owned. Easy to Use. Cons: Motor went out after 12 months
Summary: I got it from Conn's for less then most are selling on-line. Best Washer I ever owned until the motor went out after 12 months. The repair guy said there is a 2 week backlog. I guess other people have been having the same problem.

Pros: It's attractive, holds big loads, and the shaking during the spin cycle is not terrible. Cons: LG service is HORRIBLE and the brown gunk and moldy smell are gross.
Summary: We purchased our front loader washer two years ago, and I was never impressed by its performance. Now its leaving brown gunk in the machine, spots on my clothes, and has a moldy smell. Maybe I'm using too much HE detergent, but for what we paid, I

Pros: Easy to use, quiet Cons: Stains created from washing that were not there before washing.
Summary: I am very disappointed in my LG "high efficiency" washing machine. My old washing machine broke and I thought that I would save money with a high efficiency machine, but instead I am buying a whole new wardrobe. This washing machine does not clean

Pros: Looks nice; lots of features Cons: Poor quality poor company price
Summary: We now have the same LE problem you do, only 2 years into the machine. Out of warranty, of course, and few people in the entire Phoenix area who will work with LG-NO one stocks parts. This is a known problem by the company. And the almost $500
