LG RU-52SZ30 52 in. TV

Pros: Great picture/great price, and it has the best cabinet out there.
Cons: 2-4 second video delay when changing from HDTV to SDTV and back again.

Hopefully this will help others to give this TV from LG a look. I know I would have liked to hear some feedback on this TV before buying it. For the record I own the LG 44SZ63D model, but I was told that they couldn't add any new TV models to be reviewed ...

Pros: Fat TV like an old 1950s, spend extra $500 dollars for a real flat screen

Cons: They DON'T back up their product, and they DON'T take care of their customers.

I've only had my TV for 10 months and I already had a pixel go bad, and now I have a red dot on my screen. After I contacted LG, they told me that they would only fix it if five pixels went bad, and that I would have to pay for it out of my own pocket if I wanted the one pixel fixed. Not very good customer service at all, and what makes it worse is that my TV is still under factory warranty.

Pros: Beautiful picture and lots of features - best bang for your buck
Cons: Intermittantly unable to start

I agree completely with the other reviewer. I too have been looking at HDTVs for over a year. This is absolutely the best picture for the money out there.

I chose the RU-44SZ63D because I wanted to squeeze the TV into a built-in corner nook. The previous TV was a 27" Sony CRT that barely fit. Think of it: I could fit a TV literally three times bigger in the same spot as the previous one.

The only technical problem I have had - and it's a big one, is occasionally the TV won't turn on. This happened a week after we got it, and again yesterday. A tech is coming out to look at it today.

I have owned this set for a year now....it is a great picture and I have found it extremely simple to set up and use. I reviewed many other options prior to this purchase and with most of us the market is confusing....DLP, plasma and LCD. I am very pleased I made the LCD choice and the LG
