Pros: $10 / year when using gas water heater
Large 4cf tub
Higher spins Cons: Loud drain pump
Remember to dry the door seal when done with wash
Summary: After owning a Whirlpool Calypso machine for 5 years, the water pump and pump motor died. After a $300 service call, the machine was back up and running. Three months later, the machine gives us a CE error. I did some looking on the 'net and found ... read more

Pros: amount of laundry accomplished in short periods of time. Cons: rubber seal is wet when loads are finished. Causing concern for mildew or mold.
Summary: I went to Home Depot to get a new lock for the door. I left spending a small fortune for these new machines. My husband was completely shocked. Our Maytag top loader works awesome. I could not resist the price of the store display plus the added sale. I ... read more

Pros: Works as advertised. Cleans clothes very well. Efficient on water and power. Cons: Only con would be the price. At least you get what you pay for.
Summary: Very happy with machine. First time with a front loader and it is really nice. The capacity is great and the HE laundry detergent works really well. Because the clothes do not sit in a tub full of water there is much less of a chance of colors
