I don't usually play role play games like Lord of the Rings, but I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. It probably helped that I was already a big fan of the movies, but I think I would have liked the game regardless.
The game plays up to four players, which was important to me because I'm not a person that can sit by myself and play a game for an extended period of time. Another positive was the game was easy to figure out and operate. There were several different levels, and I could choose my level of difficulty to play at. I played the game on PS2, and at the time the graphics were solid. If I had to complain about something I found the last bonus levels were nearly impossible. Overall, the game is unbelievable and arguably my favorite game. I would recommend this game to anyone, especially fans of The Lord of the Rings.

The Lord of The Rings: Return of the Kings, is by far the best Lord of The Rings game out on the market. It has superb gameplay. It follows the actual story of Lord of the Rings. There are many options. You get to play as Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, Aragorn, Sam and Perry. You can upgrade your attacks with experience gained during the levels. The game is also co-operative multiplayer. Which I find cool because you can kick some orc butt together. I would highly recommend this game to people. I rented it once and then have rented it many times after because it is such a good game. It has 3 levels of difficulty, to make the game playable for any level of gamers.

This game totally rocks. I'm talking about EA's Return of the King game. I dunno where epinions got that picture from, but it doesn't match my game though i know of no other ROTK game for PS2. If u have ever doubted that someone could make a game that is as awesome an experience to play as it was to watch as a film, then u need to check this out. One of the best things about the game was that it gave more of the story to you. Myself being one of the many who never bothered to read any of the books only know what we have seen, and this game fills in some gaps. After the release of the ROTK extended edition for DVD it became clear where a lot of this extra stuff came from. Great sound effects, real character voices, music from the film, and great levels make this one of the best games i've ever played. The challenge levels once you beat the game add more fun times.

I have had this game for almost 2 years, and I still love it. It is the #1 game I play. It's fun, challenging, adventurous, and just awesome. When you play, you can unlock interviews with the cast of LOTR. That is a great reward to all your hard work. I love the interviews, they are really funny. Once you finish the game, there are still two "bonus" levels, and you get access to the cheat codes. I bought this product because I was very satisfied with the first and second Lord of the Rings games. If you own the first or second, this game is so much better. There is nothing I hate about this game, it's all great. It's got awesome graphics, mind-blowing game play and impressive combos. If you love The Lord of the Rings, this is a must have for you.
