Pros: Does what is says, great hold, versatility and price Cons: none
Wow, after an extended hiatus, I'm finally back to writing some real reviews here! Thought I'd write one before I entered into some of the new and very interesting write-offs taking place on here right now! L'Oreal Springing Curls is a hair ...

Pros: Easy to use. Makes beautiful curls. Cons: A bit higher priced than some others but yet well worth it.
A close friend of mine recommended L'Oreal Paris Springing Curls to me after she used it one time. Our daughters enter all the local beauty pageants and we go through lots of hair styling products. I roll my daughters hair the night before the ...

Pros: spreadable Cons: promotes frizz, too little control and hold, needed to make more curl
I used this mousse for approximately 5 years and loved it. However, about a year ago the formula for this mousse was changed and now I vehemently dislike the product and refuse to use it because it simply doesn't work. (The first few ingredients in ...

Not Impressive
by burghbaby ,Jul 27 '04
Pros: bottle was easy to use Cons: not nearly enough curl or hold. too much frizz.
This mousse was a major let down. Everything that I expected it to do, it failed. It did not give shapely curls. My curls were too thin and random and not distributed evenly around my head. This mousse gave very little hold. So, the disappointing curls did not even stay for long. I was also disappointed with the level of frizz protection from this mousse; I wanted much more than it gave. I bought this mousse because I wanted a head full of shapely curls first and foremost and it did not help in that area.

One Star Mousse
by rc4eva ,Aug 09 '04
Pros: the price was a good bargain Cons: clumpy curls; low hold; flyaways
I used this mousse many times and I have not gotten good results once. With this mousse, my curls were clumped together instead of being independent of one another and free to move around. I was also disenchanted with this mousse because it did not hold the curls well enough. Within hours my curls were sagging and after a night of sleeping they were too matted down. Also, I had a problem with flyaway hairs along my hairline after using this: there were more than a few flyaways and they were also frizzy.

Works Well With Other Products but not Alone
by lizlipke ,Aug 24 '05
Pros: Cheap, Works well with the other L'Oreal curl products Cons: Terrible as a mousse alone
I use the Springing Curls in conjungtion to the Curl Gel and Anti-Frizz Spray. It works well to help with a few problem areas, like a few dry curls and such. However, this is not the type of mousse you can just use alone and expect great results. I would not recommend this as your every day mousse but to use with the L'Oreal curl line itself.

Low on Performance and Effectiveness
by splurgejenna ,Sep 24 '04
Pros: None. Cons: Weighs hair down, little hold, does not enhance curls.
Wow! I had no idea other people were missing this mousse as much as I've been! I want to reiterate that not only was changing the formula of this mousse a travesty but that the new version of Springing Curls is 1. a horrible version of Springing Curls mousse 2. a horrible mousse is general. This mousse is very low on performance and effectiveness. It does not boost curl at any level and unless you have extremely curly hair, I doubt you will get the curl that you are looking for. If anything, this mousse seems to deflate curl due to the fact that, while it is a fluffy mousse, it weighs hair down with all of it's conditioning/moisturizers.

Big Let-Down
by laceface ,Aug 24 '04
Pros: Affordable, can contains a lot of the product. Cons: Slightly sticky, no hold, no shaping.
Back in the late 90s I wanted to shape my own natural curls and waves so I bought this mousse. It really did the trick. After using it I didn't have problems with frizz and my curls stayed curly and stayed for a long time. I used this mousse for years. Then in 2003 the mousse was changed and the alcohol denat. was taken out of the mousse, among other things. Since that change, the mousse doesn't have the same efficacy. After I used it, my hair felt slightly sticky, my curls weren't shaped and my hair looked like a wavy afro. Another problem with the mousse that is being made now is that it doesn't hold as well. After a couple of hours the waves I got loosened which made my hair look even more sloppy. Since the mousse was changed, I do not use it anymore. If the company would just go back to the other way that the mousse was made then the mousse would be worth five stars. It was that good.
