Pros: Stylish machine comes very close to the perfect cup of espresso Cons: Steep learning curve, consistency depends on you
This machine is for a hands-on person who wants home espresso as good [or better] than that available anywhere else in the world. In addition to the cost of the Pavoni, the price of this is dedication in the face of a steep learning curve, a good burr...

Pros: Makes god espresso and cappucino. Cons: Uses to much electricity, lasts only 1.5 year before service is needed.

Needs to be fixed ... again
by beansplease ,May 04 '09
Pros: Looks good but that's about it Cons: Unreliable Difficult to clean Lack of service centres
I received my la pavoni europiccola coffee machine for christmas 2007 - and so far it has made three (costly) trips to the repair shop. The first time the plastic on the water gauge melted, the water tank moved around on the base, and the security valve went off. The melted plastic permanently stained the finish. They fixed the problems, then one month after getting it back (it was 6 weeks at the repair shop) the water tank started moving around again. Now the tank is moving around again and the company won't replace it (they did offer to have it specially repaired at the factory). The machine looks pretty, but that's about it. When it is working, the milk frother spits milk everywhere and burns onto the water tank making it hard to clean. If you are planning on buying this machine (not advisable), check to see where the nearest service centre is because as it weighs a ton, the transport costs are very high.
