Pros: Rich taste, clean finish, mellow fire. Cons: A little pricey.
On a recent mission to restock my bar I was disappointed to discover that they were out of my favorite Bourbon. I didnt want Tennessee Whiskey, or Scotch, or other Bourbons like Beam, or the very low budget Aristocrat label. I wanted a premium ...

Pros: Peppery kick to the tongue, Great bottle, Amazing when mixed with soda Cons: Not as easy to sip as Maker's Mark
I've started enjoying some nice single malt scotches and after reading some of the magazines on fine whiskies (Malt Advocate & Whisky Magazine) I've learned a little more about premium bourbons. Since Jack Daniels was my entry to whiskey (many years ...

Pros: Purely delicious bourbon, well-designed standout bottle: form and function. Cons: Price, and uncertainty about its future.
History lies deep, back in this hollow.
Labrot & Graham sits by the banks of Glenn's Creek, a shallow, broad stream that splashes over reefs of limestone. This branch of the creek was home to a number of distilleries back in the days,...

Pros: MM MM GOOD Cons: $27.00 is a lot for a bottle of hooch
Woodford Reserve is simply as good as bourbon gets. It is an extremely well made whisky. It has a delicate balance between a little bite (maybe a nibble) and sweet mellowness. One can almost taste the confluence of all of Kentucky's distilling...

Pros: Smooth, easy to drink and makes a remarkable cocktail. Cons: Hard to find bourbon because it is made in small batches.
The copper stills used to produce this small batch bourbon produce a smooth and aromatic drink. Created in the heart of bourbon county, the limestone water creates a pleasant bourbon which will appeal to both male and female consumers. Unlike other...

Pour From This Sexy Bottle
by craigdeutsch ,Dec 11 '05
Pros: Unique bottle shape and spectacular taste. Cons: Not available in every supermarket.
This is the best bourbon you can find at your local supermarket. It is has a strong vanilla taste and is extremely smooth on the rocks. Woodford Reserve, hands down, makes the best whisky sour on the planet.

I agree with Beerfly about this bourbon
by mckeetex ,Dec 13 '09
Pros: Enjoy on ice with a splash of water; you don't have to dress it up. Cons: No cons. A con in Beerfly's review was availability. No problem. It's here in 2009.
The Flat Chunk of History review has it right. Woodford Reserve is very enjoyable and can add to any occasion. My other fave is Knob's Creek.
