Pros: Every last thing Cons: They aren't closer to me
Located on 65 at the CC intersection between Springfield and Branson is one of Missouri's best kept secrets: Lambert's Cafe. This isn't their only location, but it's the one I've always stopped at. They have two others, but alas, they are all in ...

Pros: Good Food, All You Can Eat Pass-Arounds, Good Service Cons: Long Wait At Times, Can Be A Bit Pricey With More Expensive Entrees
Over the weekend was Girls Night Out, well our weekend out. We took a trip from our hometown in the direction to Joplin, MO. This meant about a six hour drive for us, there were five girls plus two teenagers in tow with us. 3 of the 5 ...

Pros: Easy to find. Home style. Reasonably priced. Great fun to catch piping fresh rolls! Cons: None
My family has vacationed in south Missouri since before I was born. Lake Pomme de Terre was my father's vacation-on-a-budget, and it was a grand ol' time every year. Along with camping, sunburns, swimming and scuba diving (my dad has old scuba gear from ...

Pros: GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE, FUN ATMOSPHERE Cons: I don't live near one anymore :(
When we lived in the Ozarks, we ate at Lambert's often, and it was always requested by friends and family when they came to visit. They have 3 locations: Ozarks, MO Sikeston, Mo and Foley, Al. We have only eaten at the Ozarks location but I'm sure it ...

Pros: Great entertainment. Children love it and will actually eat the food! Cons: Canned vegetables without the cans, save it for when you have youngsters along.
This restaurant on Hwy. 59 claims to be the "second most popular attraction" in the Foley/Gulf Shores/Ft. Morgan, AL resort area, and it took us a while to figure out the number one attraction must be the beach. This area is our favorite vacation ...

Pros: Food, Price, Service, and everything else! Cons: Absolutely nothing, I only wish they had more locations!

Pros: "Throwed" rolls Cons: "Throwed" rolls, LONG wait, food hidden beneath tons of gravy
We visited the Lambert's location that is located North of Branson on highway 65, just a few miles south of Springfield. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very full parking lot, but since we were visiting the Ozarks for the first time and had heard this ...

Come Hungry
by generalsolo ,Jan 26 '06
Pros: Awesome food and a lot of it Cons: Long waits sometimes, slightly pricey
Lambert's Cafe, home of the throwed rolls, is worth your time and money. I don't care if you have to drive an hour out of your way to stop there, it's still worth it. There are so few places today with great food, great service and a unique atmosphere. This one is the total package. The wait was a little long, 40 minutes, but I soon forgot about the time spent. They start you off with drinks and passarounds. You can get the throwed rolls, baked fresh, and fried okra. After you order and get your food, you can also get fried potatoes, black eyed peas and macaroni still free. And if that isn't enough, everything is all you can eat. I finished my chicken fried steak and then had another one within 5 minutes. I ate until it hurt and then I filled in the corners because the rolls are that good. I recommend this place and I also recommend skipping some meals first to get your money's worth.

Fun atmosphere
by gsmith576 ,Sep 12 '04
Pros: Fun and Different Cons: Need more around
It has been about 7 years since we have went to the Lambert's Cafe in Alabama. I don't remember the prices or what we ate. What I do remember is the fun atmosphere it was. With the throwing rolls and the appetizers coming around and yes you had no plate they just put them on your napkin and you ate them like that. We had to wait for quite a while but it was worth it. It is such a fun and different kind of restaurant that's what makes it so popular.
I wish there were more of them around we would definitely go again. My family still talks about the restaurant with the flying rolls and what fun it was. I would highly recommend it just plan on having to wait 30minutes to 1 1/2 hours to get in but it will be worth it if you want to eat somewhere fun and different.

Home of thrown disappointment
by senorloco49024 ,Jul 02 '06
Pros: Can say I have been there Cons: Food, service, wait, and stomach ache afterwards.
A friend and I went to the Lambert's Cafe in Foley Alabama today. The number of cars in the parking lot made it look like it was the place to go. After eating, maybe it was just good marketing that brought those cars there. The wait was long, and the servers were plain rude. I felt more like I was in a chow hall than a cafe. Within about 2 minutes of getting our drinks, the waitress starting asking for our order while we were still visibly reading the menu. Then we never saw her again until she delivered the food and then again when she dropped off the bill. The food was terrible, hamburgers appeared to be mixed with some kind of bread product. The fries tasted like bacon grease. Just nasty. Another waitress ran into us on the way out, and no excuse me. Terrible all around.

Grandkids loved it
by screwie ,Jun 26 '09
Pros: Fun atmosphere for family Cons: Too much food before your order arrives and it was a little pricey.
I took my grandkids for our first visit to Lamberts in Sikeston MO, They loved it and loved the thrown rolls. My grandson loved the fried okra they passed around and my granddaughter loved the blackeyed peas. The second time we went, my daughter also came with us and it was still as enjoyable. She and both kids had the catfish and I had the Country fried steak, it was huge! Although it was good, I do not think I would order it again. All the servers were nice, except the young lady passing the mac and tomatoes. We ate so much of the fried okra and the hot rolls that we were not really that hunger once we got our food.
