GP 200

Pros: Just look at it, it says it all. Cons: Inferior build quality of latter Indian models
Produced between 1969 - 1971, this was the best, but unfortunately the last produced by Innocenti. Sleak lines, superior performance, disc front brake, and electronic ignition (on electronic model), this was the best scooter ever produced. Once scooter production had ceased at Innocenti, they were then built in in India until the late 1990's by SIL. The picture is of an Indian GP200. The Indian GP's were without the disc brake & electronic ignition, and dellorto carbs. The early Indian models were of good quality. The later models sported indicators (horrible) and the craftmanship was of an inferior quality. They had a moving front mudguard (horrible) and the bodywork did not fit properly. Even with all of these faults, I would prefer an Indian GP to any of the Piaggio offerings from the mid 70's onwards.
