Pros: Engine interchangable with later models
Cons: Awkward to refuel when fitted with dual seats.
Another classic from Lambretta. Apart from the GP/DL range, this is my favourite model. It has the classic 50's design and is well built. Although heavy and awkward when stationary, this scooter handles well when ridden. Better handling can be gained with the addition of dampers to the front forks (as fitted to the TV175 model). The engine lacks the power to propel the heavy body at acceptable motorway speeds (max 55-60mph). All this can be fixed by fitting with a 200cc motor. This is a very easy process as the engine is interchangeable with any of the later models (except the J range) so that you can have the retro 50's look combined with 1970's performance. Wheels, forks, petrol tank etc are all interchangable with later models (except the J range).
