Pros: Improved performance over standard Series 3 Li150, great gear box/gear selector, model is becoming rare.
Cons: Drum brakes instead of disk brakes.
Very recently I picked up an very good unrestored (except for rebuilt motor/gearbox) Li 150 Special here in Western Australia for $4000 AU. This is my favourite model Lambretta. Great improvement performance wise when compared to a standard Series 3 Li 150 (which I have also owned). The silver colour is very attractive, combined with the TV 175 style side covers which differ from the standard Li 150. The gear box has a quicker and smoother gear selector as well, which is a bonus. Most of the "bright" trim is aluminium, which has tarnished over the years. I have polished all these bits, however, they are still not as shiney as chromed items (I suppose they are original).I think that Lambretta got it right when they introduced this model, in my opinion. The only thing that it lacks is disk brakes like the 175 and 200's.
