Brought one for my seven year old granddaughter two years ago and she played daily with it until the puppy chewed the pen off. She loved to read to people and show the surprises she found in the books. A great toy to promote parents and children reading...

Pros: It is fun and easy to use. My son has enjoyed it immensely. Cons: The pages in the books are paper, I would prefer something more durable.

Pros: Helps children with all areas of learning. Very Creative! Cons: Books must be perfectly centered and flat in the tray.
The Leap Pad is an amazing device. Why wasn't learning this fun, when I was a kid? The 32 page book that comes with it has different lesson pages for all ages. Even I have spent hours playing with this thing. It teaches phonics better than anything else...

Pros: Extremely educational and fun to use. My three year old daughter loves it! Cons: Books and cassettes can get pricey, however each one has many lessons on it.

Pros: Wonderful Illustrations
Pleasant Oration Cons: Limited Selection of Books
What a wonderful idea. Just what kids need to give them a boost from sounding words out into actual reading and memorization of familiar words. My 4 year old was well on her way to reading and sounding out short words; however, she often got frustrated...

Pros: It is great help for children who have to struggle Cons: The books are expensive and rip easily
My daughter keep seeing the Leap Pad on T.V. wanting it. I am not one to run to the store on something that might not work. I will have to say Wal-mart Stores help you with that they have a display where you can try out the children's electronic...

Pros: Great for learning. Entertaining. Good for the older toddler up to elementary school age. Cons: Cord can get in the way, Good, but not great, selection of books. Price.
My daughter received this as a gift for Christmas when she was 2 1/2.
She has always been interested in reading and is also always very gentle with books, so the book having thin paper pages was not a problem for us.
My little one...

Pros: Educational, interesting, fun for hours Cons: Contains small parts necessary to the whole... kind of expensive
I admit it. I folded. I saw the toy up there on the shelf, thought back over the fourteen or so other stores that I had been to that were sold out, and thought, maybe they know something I don't. I played with the display for all of about three...

Pros: It's fun AND educational! Cons: Very active children may become distracted from it quickly.
I purchased the Leap Pad for my five year old daughter. Initially I thought it was going to be one of those toys that I would take out and say, "Here kid, play with this now." I was so wrong.
As soon as I showed my daughter how it...
