Pros: Fun and exciting while learning at the same time. Cons: Small tapes to keep track of.
I bought this for my 5-year-old daughter for Christmas. She loves this toy. It creates automatic learning while they are playing. After the first day, she could name several states, and could tell me the population of two of them. I was pretty...

Pros: Great educational toy for price Cons: The stylus pen can be ripped off but they replace it!
We purchased this toy for my daughter and son for christmas last year. My daughter loved that it would read to her and that it would sound words out that she didn't know. Even my 2 yr old knew how to operate and it would sit listening to it for hours....

Pros: Fun, easy to use Cons: pen misaligns and it's not cheap either
Educational toys have a special role to play, they're not just about entertaining a child, anything within reason can make a good start on that - it's about feeding a child's imagination and their hunger to learn, putting them firmly on the path towards...

Pros: very interesting product Cons: bad choices and small selection of books
The Leap Pad was a wonderful product and I'm looking forward to the new books but the choices they have made in books so far have been bad. This is especially true when considered in context with the advertisements that have described books that simply...

Pros: Ease, Price, Convenient for kids, Learning Cons: Way the book is held
The LeapPad was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 4 year old son in 1999. We had seen the item on display about 3 months prior, and really loved the way it helps kids to learn on their own. Not only did my son get one, but we also showed it to our...

Pros: So many books available that are compatible with the LeapPad. Cons: The product costs $60 and you automatcally have to invest another $15 for a book.
I purchased this product for my 4 year old daughter for Christmas. I felt that the product was a little pricey, but figured it to be a good investment since it had a number of compatible books. Be aware that the books that you can purchase seperately are...
