Pros: Easy setup, cheap price Cons: A/C adapter is big so not power strip friendly
I live in a small NYC apartment and this wireless router has worked out great so far. I have a Dell desktop wired into the router and a Mac book accessing it wirelessly. I tested this by running online gaming, QuickTime movie trailers, and Youtube ...

Pros: supports N draft nice design easy setup Cons: There are hardware differences between versions of WRD160n. Getting the better version is difficult to grantee.
main point was to use the DD-WRT firmware with it, partly following several reviews in Amazon. Immediately after installation I saw that I can't upgrade my firmware as this is WRT160Nv2 and it apparently uses "Ralink" CPU and not "BROADCOM" cpu - ...

Glad I got it!
by gloobie670 ,Nov 20 '09
Pros: Price was right. Set-up was OK. Unit is very reliable. Cons: Tech support does not speak understandable English.
This router was fairly easy to set up and has not had a single problem since being configured. You are well-advised to get a tablet of paper and write out each step you take to configure it properly for your system, or you will get very frustrated, very quickly. As soon as I took the time to write out my steps, I had it up and running in ten minutes time. Before that, I messed around, by memory, and wasted a half-hour. Forget tech support for this unit. I literally could not understand a single word either tech was saying to me, on the phone, so I simply hung up and grabbed my paper and pen.
This router is so reliable. It has not failed to be seen by each and every device I have used with it and connecting to it has been a breeze, even with my Roku unit, used for watching movies on my TV.
I had a Belkin unit for a few weeks and got so tired of resetting it four times a day that I returned it and bought the Linksys. I'm really glad I did that.

Unstable router. Poor support.
by dima1st ,Nov 09 '08
Pros: Sleek design. Cons: Completely halts at least once a day.
At least once a day all of a sudden network connections drop and I can't ping any addresses including router itself. No matter whether from wired or wireless connection. Only power recycling brings it back online. My router is running the latest firmware v1.02.2. Tech support is useless. First they advised to change MTU size, then to reload firmware, then to reload firmware again!!! The only option left is to go thru warranty replacement but they require me to pay for shipping defective unit to them. After spending another $15 for shipping I got a replacement that entertains me the same problem. There is nothing funcy in my home network - no gaming, no peer-to-peer downloading/uploading, etc. - just plain desktops and a laptop. I'm network admin myself and swear my home network as kosher as it could possibly be.

What Wireless Reliability?
by fixinggenie ,Dec 12 '08
Pros: Hardwire Router, Same User Interface as always, plug and play. Cons: Wireless unreliable, random freeze ups.
Works fantastic as a Router, as a wireless router is has it's issues. Let along when you start changing some settings, and setting up wireless encryption.
Random network drops which make you reset the router, sometimes even wipe it completley.
Not the best buy
