Pros: Keeps kitty happy
Cons: To keep kitty happy, first you have to keep the Maid happy
The very first time I logged on to Epinions was when I was debating whether or not to buy the Littermaid. Honestly, Epinions only left me more confused, because there were SO many different opinions...a lot of "loves" and just as many "hates". I bought...

Pros: Excellent for one cat--makes life easier. Cons: Do I want to hear that thing running when I am trying to eat?
I bought a Litter Maid after watching a TV infomercial. Yes, just 4 easy payments and it was all mine. I would have never imagined myself as someone who would do that sort of thing, skeptic that I am, but there I was, looking them up on the web and...

Pros: Really helps with odors, less litter is used, good for multiple cats Cons: Noisy machine, a big large
Ahh the litterbox. Why would one person give so much thought to a product that is made for poop? Well, I love cats but I hate the litterbox experience. I am one of those people with super sensitive noses and I literally gag when it's time to remove...

Pros: Great for multicat households Cons: I must clean it every 2 weeks
My Litter Maid was a present from my husband. I was trying to get pregnant & knew that I should not be cleaning the litter box. My hubby could clean it at night & before he went to work in the morning - IF he remembered. He would forget &...

Pros: easy to use, less hassle Cons: cost, still needs to be scooped
Update July 20, 2001:
Well the sensor stopped working now when we walk past it we have to flip the switch to get it to rake.
We did however figure out that we can line the containers with ordinary plastic shopping bags and just pull them...

Pros: Works great at first Cons: Messier than a regular box, expensive, and doesn't function properly after only 2 months of regular use.
Wow! What a great thing (or so I thought)! I had seen the Litter Maid litter boxes advertised for quite some time, but with a price tag like that, always looked the other way. I finally broke down and bought the Litter Maid Advanced Deluxe litter box...

Pros: Automatic, short-term benefits Cons: Scary, messy in the long run
It seemed like such a promising idea. Your cat poops, you don't have to scoop it. A cat lover's dream come true. Well, you know what they say about things that seem too good to be true...
We brought it home, (this was at my parents' house when...

Pros: Ingenious mechanical design eliminates 80% of litter-cleaning hassle. Cons: You'll still need your scoop, litter supplies and a strong stomach.
For those of us with indoor cats, automatic catbox cleaning is, perhaps, the most pressing technological imperative of the 21st century. That's the way it feels when you're on your hands and knees at 6:00am, wielding a plastic rake in a crumbly field of...

Pros: Overall, a more cleaner solution. Easy to dispose of copious amounts of Kitty Mud Cons: Expensive, motor is a bit loud, Stank Tanks are a bit flimsy.
Pardon my french, but I have one serious lardass of a cat. He's over 20 lbs, and eats 2 to 3 cups of food a day. He resembles an ottoman more than a house pet. Now, I know what you're thinking, and I don't care. Don't ask me to put him on a diet. I like...

Pros: Nice idea. Cons: Poorly implemented idea.
When I first saw the commercials for Litter Maid I, like many other people, said, "Wow! What a great idea!" As we all know, cleaning the litter box can be a pain and finding something to ease that burden is nice. So, after giving the Litter Maid a...

Pros: Relatively low maintenance. Automatic. Cons: MCI is fragile. Battery consumption is huge (use the power supply).
It would appear that our young cat (1 year old) drinks and eats for at least 10 - or so the Litter Maid would indicate. He (Tomo) can completely fill up our Litter Maid in 3 days - which seems like a lot for one cat.
We purchased the Litter...

Pros: Ease-Less Smell-Health Multiple Cats Cons: Initial Price-Noise-Takes up more floor space
I believe that the Litter Maid is quite possibly one of the best contraptions that I have bought. Ever sense I had first seen them on infomercials, I wanted one. I waited though, with good reason, for the price to come down, and the versions to improve....

Pros: Convenient, a neat gadget Cons: Noisy, slightly messy, requires clumping litter
Why I bought it: I found the Litter Maid Litter Box on sale for $99 and decided to go ahead and buy it (I had previously refused to pay $190 for it). I bought it mostly because of my love of gadgets and partially for the convenience it offered....

Pros: Good at scooping solid litter - but cats don't only do that part! Cons: Liquids would cling to the prongs and clog them, causing plowing effect
I purchased the original version, which broke after a few months of use. While we were using it, the mechanism that rakes the litter was frequently clogged and turned into a 'snow shovel' moving all of the unused litter with the used litter, into the...

Pros: does what it says Cons: cost
My cat is 15 years old and I wasn't sure if she would like this new product, but being that I was having surgery on a foot and would be in a wheelchair for a few months, I decided that this litter box was a must have. My best friend bought it for me...
