Pros: swing may be fun for young babies, slide okay for small toddlers Cons: expensive, cheaply made, poor design
Despite my sons love of swings, due to the quickly approaching winter, we made the decision to not start looking for any play yard or swing set until next spring. While lots of outdoor toys were available, I wanted to hold out for something a bit nicer ...
Pros: fun, durable, fun, easy to assemble, fun Cons: could stand to be a little bit stronger grade plastic
I have two children, girls ages 2.5 years and 1 years old. I decided to buy them the little tykes swingalong castle playset for Christmas when I saw it on sale (after summer sale) at walmart for only $50.00. This gift was the first, last and only gift ...
Pros: Small enough for indoor play. Cons: Too small for most kids, especially for age ranges listed.
My son loves to swing, slide and climb but this product just doesn't work! We purchased this for my son's first birthday and was really excited about it. We assembled it and had it ready for his party with similarly-aged kids and kids up to age 5. ...
Pros: It's cute, and fairly easy to assemble. Swing would be good for a smaller child. Cons: The rockclimb is a safety hazard. Much smaller than age range suggests.
The grandparents bought this one for my 2 year old's birthday. Not only is it just too small for him, but he ended up slipping and pushing a tooth up into his gums. The rock climb is rather smooth, and even with a good pair of shoes, he had trouble ...
Pros: Durable, Easy to assemble, Cute extras Cons: Not for taller babies/toddlers.
I purchased this for my 12 month old because she loves to swing. She loved it for about one month. She is very tall, and her feet were hitting the floor on the swing, and the slide was very small for her. She did enjoy climbing the "rock wall", but that also lost it's glam shortly after purchase. I like that it was durable and solid, and very easy to assemble. It was a very cute addition to the yard. I also liked the safety of the straps on the swing. I would recommend this product for a "small" toddler. For a taller toddler, I would purchase the bigger swing set.
Pros: Cute design, good for beginning walkers/early toddlers Cons: Swing is VERY low to the ground & slippery
I bought this for my daughter when she was about a year old, just starting to walk. I'll admit, she wasn't the earliest walker and, at almost 3 is just learning how to navigate steps. This swing & slide worked pretty well for her, HOWEVER....by the end of the first summer (or earlier) her feet were dragging on the ground when she was on the swing. And she's always sliding out of the swing seat even with the straps on (the seat is rather upright and very slippery).
Would I recommend it? Yes, if you want something for a year or maybe two. Think about it for the price you're paying, it's not going to be the only swingset you ever buy! My daughter wouldn't have been able to navigate a larger playground, so this worked for her......but won't this year!
