Pros: design, resolution, low light boost, ease of installation, mounting option, digital tracking Cons: digital-only pan or zoom, grainy low light picture, compression and file type fixed
Videophones are even in 2006 largely a no-show due to both phone line limitations and a little bit of vanity. However, with the widespread availability of high speed Internet via DSL or cable, webcams have their second Spring. Afterall, finally the video ...
Pros: Good Picture Quality, Video Effects, Excellent Sound Quality, Cons: Software has quirks, Gaps in Logitech support
Why did I buy this product? This webcam has a high resolution and numerous features that other cameras in its class do not. It's price is often lower than its competition. Features Picture Quality 4/5 Resolution ...
Pros: Features for price, useability, Size Cons: Not bluetooth compatible, highly dependent on computer power
I have bought this same webcam for both myself and my girlfriend, and I must say I have not regretted the purchase in the least. The camera comes in a nice plastic case, and once removed, balances easily on the top of a laptop or desktop. The extra face ...
Pros: Quick & easy setup, awesome low-light, sound and great options! Cons: Not too many.. except maybe the price..
I bought two of them while my little brother was stationed in Iraq; one for me and one for my husband. And through Yahoo my whole family was able to chat and web-conference; my husband, my father, youngest brother, brother in Iraq, and his wife. It ...
Pros: High quality lens, color rendition, excellent microphone Cons: Rightlight 2, base doesn't feel securely attached to my LCD monitor
Well I been trying unsuccessfully for the last several months to use a Phillips DMVC-300K. That cam required 2 lamps and ceiling fans uplight on high (8 bulbs) I have been on the look out for a replacement and stumbled upon this Logitech Quickcam Fusion. ...
Pros: None that I can think of. Cons: Poor customer service, never got webcam to work. Now not-returnable.
A word of warning for those looking to buy, you should be pretty tech-savvy before embarking on using webcams, or at least this one, for video calls. This unit was purchased to have video calls to family members in Europe. Turns out the CD included was ...
Pros: Great way of communicating with your friends and family Cons: None
I purchased Logitech QuickCam Fusion 961403-0403 Personal Web Camera when I bought my new computer. And my family lives in Estonia, it's hard to talk to them daily, especially since it's kind of expensive over the phone. But now I can talk to my family whenever I want to and it's free. If you have DSL, the connection is great and you can see and hear everything. It's like you are sitting next to that person in the same room. It's a great way of communication.
With previous Logitech experience (owned the QuickCam Express and the Pro 4000) my sister and I bought this Logitech QuickCam Fusion so we would have identical cams. Fusion should have been an upgrade, but it was worse than my original QuickCam of several years ago! Auto features produced either washed out image or totally dark image. Manual settings didn't help much. Audio quality was even worse. Product stated that it would work great without headset. Not so! Lots of feedback. Even with headset, sound quality was garbled and kept cutting out. Final straw, Fusion crashed my computer 3 times in 20 minutes. My sister had the same result. Un-installed QuickCam Fusion and re-installed our old Logitech Pro 4000 and all is well again.
Pros: Does a great job in low light areas Cons: none
They did it this time, Does a great job in low light areas, spectacular picture quality and the software is amazing, works just fine. Does a great job in low light areas, spectacular picture quality and the software is amazing, works just fine.
Great except no Yahoo support by patopinions ,Oct 10 '05
Pros: Sharp image, good quality in average room light. Cons: Currently can't get it to work in Yahoo
Camera works great in AIM, MSN and both Roxio and Nero capture. Video cam also has its own still and video capture utility.
Install was easy, seems important to be sure you dont plug cam in till install directs you to.
It's even pretty good in low room light. Won't replace my DV video cam but better than the old cheapo web cam I had.
Unfortunately I got it to use with Yahoo and so far Yahoo can't deal with it and support at Yahoo hasn't helped. Its going back if Yahoo can't support it, as that was my main reason for getting it. Would give it a higher rating if Yahoo worked - not Logitech's fault but a major drawback .
If you don't Yahoo consider it.

Update
I decided to keep the camera and switch to MSN messenger.
It works so great even with MSN full screen video it is a good image quality a bit fuzzy full screen but very acceptable. I am changing to a recommend rating unless you use Yahoo.
Pros: Easy to install if directions followed. Cons: Picture isn't sharp.
I primarily use Comcast Video Mail, and ICUII. I queried others and have been told the picture isn't as sharp as my old Orange Micro iBot webcam. It's blurry. No sharpness adjustment made any significant improvement. A focus ring may have helped. When opening the webcam for use it defaults to face tracking which is annoying to me. It would be better if it would retain the last setting depending what the user liked. I am returning this Logitech Fusion webcam and will look further. I don't expect I must use a selected number of video messaging programs to to get clear, sharp results.
I was impressed with the picture quality. However the audio quality is very poor, unusable in fact. The echo cancellation feature conflicts with the audio of my system so that I intermittently get loud static noises in lieu of system sounds. When I turn off the echo cancellation feature, this (so far) appears to go away. Yet I can't have an internet voice chat due to the echo. This is a documented flaw on the Logitech user discussion forums. Best to wait until they fix the problem in their software before you buy. http://forums.logitech.com/index.html?l=EN&c=USA
Pros: Low light quality.
Ease of use. Cons: Price is on the high side, but you get great quality for the money.
Just bought this webcam and and very impressed thus far. Used it with Yahoo Messenger without a problem. Built in microphone works well. Low light picture quality was great.
