Failure after failure...rrrr

by geekysteve , Oct 16 '02
Pros: Affordable, decent sound
Cons: Unreliable, satellite's are a bit dull sounding
Well, we're on our fourth set of Z-560's in less than 2 months. I guess I could understand this if we were really 'cranking' them for long periods of time, but we're using them in a very quiet coffee shop environment, where the volume rarely exceeds...

Getting a 3rd (and final) replacement set. . .

by prufrocks , Nov 07 '02
Pros: Great value, nice design.
Cons: Bad, bad, bad, bad quality control unit.
I'm currently trying to get my 3rd replacement set of speakers from Logitech now. I have to admit, Logitech has been cool throughout the process, but that doesn't solve my problem of no sound.

I'm running a Sony Vaio laptop and have the Z-560...

Spend the extra money and get the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 instead

by justinscott , Nov 10 '02
Pros: Cheap price, sleek design, satisfactory sound quality, ample power
Cons: They're cheap for a reason: the subwoofer blew after a few weeks
I ordered these babies online and waited anxiously to receive them. Once they arrived I tore apart the huge box they come in. I set eveything up and enjoyed a few weeks of ear-pleasing music. Then, at about the third or fourth week while listening to...

Great speakers for the price

by michiganrich , Sep 05 '05
Pros: Bass, volume, style, THX certified, did I mention Bass?
Cons: Slight lack of treble definition
I picked up a set of these Z-560's after reading a bunch of very favorable reviews in the PC mags. After living with them for a few days, I definitely feel that they set a new standard in bang for the bucks as far as computer speakers go. I'm using...

Very good step for Logitech

by supersonic3473 , Jun 11 '04
Pros: Satellite’s sound quality, build quality, powerful sub and the price.
Cons: Bass is overpowering on certain frequency's, satelite covers are fragile.
Review of the satellites - The 560's carry full range drivers, on the outside (The midrange) in the middle (Metal phase tweeter), often people criticize full range drivers for being muddy, this is not the case with the satellites on the 560's. They are ...

Logitech Z 560 PC Speakers

by soup_ca , Apr 13 '03
Pros: Great sound, stylish looking, good value
Cons: Speaker wire
I've had these speakers for four months, and am still impressed whenever I throw in a DVD or listen to music with some bass. While they don't have 5.1 channels of sound, the 4.1 channels they do have are clear and loud. While the system doesn't have...

by lavoisier Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Feb 25 '02
Pros: 400W of pure power, thunder bass, windy trebles.
Cons: Small decoder amplifier, not 5.1.
For people that have just plain 2.1 or 4.1 speaker systems for gaming, they don't really know what they're missing out for their experience. It was true, until the Logitech Z-560 THX certified 4.1 speaker system came around. With the Logitech Z-560 4.1...

My first pair of these speckers broke after the first day I had them...I am pretty sure that the sub was defective. I called logitech up and sent the speckers back (which cost me $43.00) but got a brand new pair within a few weeks. The first set of the...

You thought Logitech only made mice and keyboards???

by Upinya , Apr 01 '03
Pros: Great bass, amazing price for power, stylish look.
Cons: No treble control, comes with high gauge(low quality) speaker wire.
Logitech isn't really know for making computer speakers, but I’m glad that they decided to try it. Logitech is most commonly known for their keyboards, joysticks, and their mice. I found these speakers for around $140 online, which is a very good...

Pros: Dynamic, satisfying, and clear sound, with earth shaking bass.
Cons: No treble control, no (wireless) remote control, budget speaker wire.
I am extremely picky about my electronics. I own four separate surround systems, seven televisions, two computers, twenty five guitars, several amps, two p.a. systems, a 16 track digital recorder with a dedicated cd burner, multitudes of speakers, etc....
