by nad_masters nad_masters is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Computer Hardware, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Mar 25 '02
Pros: Does away with cleaning mouse ball
Cons: Optical tracking is still a bit iffy.
There is not really much more I can say about this mouse that most other people haven't already said. However, reading some of the reviews here makes me scrach my head: am I the only one experiencing something a little different here?

The...

Lasting Value

by jumperless Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Nov 05 '02
Pros: Price, Ease of Use, Looks
Cons: None
I remember when Microsoft introduced the first optical mouse at a whopping $80 price tag. I laughed at the though of paying that much for a mouse, but realized the advantages of having an optical mouse. Shortly after, I saw this mouse on sale at Office...

Logitech Optical Mouse -- No Mouse Pad Needed for this Mouse

by three_ster Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Mar 24 '05
Pros: ease of use, no mouse pad needed, quality product
Cons: none
The new wave of computer parts issued in the need for a mouse that didn't have a ball in it. The Logitech optical mouse just happened to be the choice that we went with, and the fact that we no longer needed a mouse pad to go with was definitely a ...

Christmas Came Early For The Freak - Logitech Optical Mouse

by Freak369 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Dec 05 '01
Pros: Smooth scrolling, quiet clicking, 2 year warranty.
Cons: Not a single one [so far that is].
That's right, Christmas came early for me this year. It came in the form of a small box, left neatly wrapped on my front doorstep early this morning. You see, I am hard on mice. They get banged, smacked and slapped around more than a hockey player ...

A Durable and Reliable Mouse.

by ra64 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Apr 19 '03
Pros: Attractive look, practical and simple design
Cons: Noisy scroll wheel
I know a lot of people could care less about what computer mouse they are using. Some say that they are all the same. I disagree. I believe that something that you will have in your hand potentially for hours a day should carry some importance, and...

Stylish and a Good Performer

by kkj1961 , Aug 30 '00
Pros: Great performance. Stylish appearance
Cons: Only the basic 3 buttons.
Buying a mouse is not the most exciting exercise. It's sort of like buying a new keyboard. Functional, necessary, but not too exciting.

The new Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse may have changed all that. To start with the mouse is very...

by HollyJahangiri , Dec 29 '00
Pros: Functional, customizable, comfortable, inexpensive, makes scrolling to footers in FrameMaker a cinch!
Cons: May need to download sizeable update, depending on OS and applications used
Would you believe I bought the first one I owned, out of my own pocket, for the office?

The Logitech Wheel Mouse is a sleek, two-button--no, make that three-button--mouse. The third (middle) "button" doubles as a scroll...

A mouse I cannot live without

by daydrmgirl , Jul 12 '02
Pros: sensitive, precise optical tracking
Cons: gray/white buttons need constant cleaning
I've lived with the tracking ball mouse for a couple of years. Got used cleaning the ball once in a whenever the cursor ran wiggly across the screen. Not anymore! I got my very first (and only) optical wheel mouse along with my laptop. Gosh, never before ...

A simple solution to the age-old problem with computer mice.

by lavoisier Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Feb 16 '02
Pros: Affordable, optical, no more cleanups and the Golden Standard for mice.
Cons: None.
For many of us, cleaning the mouse ball on a regular basis is a ritual. Some of us even got tired of having to clean it out or even deal with lost and uncooperative cursors. That is why optical computer mice were invented in the first place. But until...

The Mouse that Roared!

by darksentinel , Mar 11 '02
Pros: Flawless optical tracking. A fantastic value.
Cons: Chassis gets in the way of clicking
The Logitech M-BJ58 is an incredible value for all you guys like me, who have put off buying an optical mouse. It can’t get much cheaper than the $14.95 I paid for it at Office Max.

What’s an optical mouse? Well it’s a mouse without a ball....

Pros: No rollers to wear out, USB - frees up resources, tracks on just about any surface
Cons: Roller wheel feels a little 'odd'
Ive been looking for a mouse for a little while now actually, as my current nine dollar wonder was fast approaching the time where it would ultimately die at some critical moment in it's tenure and end up being hurled against the wall or some other...

Best buy for a mouse

by slipheed , Aug 03 '00
Pros: Low price, USB and PS/2 connectors, wheel
Cons: Not optical, 1st generation has "slippery" wheel
This is the second iteration in Logitech's First Wheel Mouse line. The main difference is replacing the serial connection with USB.

So far I've bought 2 of these mice, one is 1st generation and the other is the 2nd generation. Both have the...
