Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers Case, Docking Station, Speaker System for iPod - Portable speakers with digital player dock for iPod - whi... (970173-2403)
Pros: Size, $100 less than IM7, up to 10hours battery life, line in port, Fairly powerful Cons: Mild distortion at the maximum value, No indicators showing the current volume setting
I recently received my gift from epinions (yes the gift that other top reviewers received back in the beginning of 2005) where they allowed me to pick any item under $200. I had been looking for a portable speaker for my MP3 players with some punch to ...
The Logitech mm50 portable speakers are amazing. The sound that comes out of its 4 speakers is just incredible. Read below to see what else Logitech has done to make this a speaker system worth hearing: Box Contents : Case : ...
Pros: Tote and blast your tunes anywhere for hours. Cons: Mediocre sound for the price, 1st-generation design flaws.
Until the Logitech mm50 came to market, you had the choice between cheap and very portable folding speakers that made your iPod sound like a transistor radio and $300 devices from Bose and Klipsch the produced wonderful sound but didn't travel well. The ...
Pros: Surprisingly good sound, built-in rechargeable battery, great price at $89.99 CDN Cons: Larger than the mm22s, buttons on base unit are stiff, lacks an LCD display
Since I bought my 60Gb, 5th generation iPod, I've been keeping an eye, rather, an ear out for good, portable speakers. Logitech's mm22 was my first endeavor (purchased for $30 CDN, refurbished). Although the sound was acceptable, there were several ...
Pros: Excellent quality, full sound, great bass and highs, excellent value Cons: Large and oddly shaped power adapter, finicky remote
My fiance loves to listen to music around the house, and since I was getting her a 4 GB Nano for Christmas I thought this would be a great accessory to compliment it. I was in Best Buy comparing the models they had on display and there were two units ...
Pros: Good sound, looks, and portability: does the job simply, and very capably Cons: iPod video won't fit in cradle while in it's iSkin
There's a vast range of iPod accessories out there these days, making choosing a quality device a lot harder than it used to be. In my evaluation I stuck to the mainstream brands, and with the Logitech mm50 it seems to have paid off. I will add to the ...
Pros: PORTABLE PORTABLE and Pretty decent sound. Built like a brick. Good price Cons: Can't replace rechargeable li ion battery. Seems like lots of defective models
A great deal for a portable ipod dock. Clear sound and can crank it up. Bass is as expected (not the greatest but you are not paying $399 for a harmon karmon or bose. Got it at an amazing price - new. Now being replace by newer version. Paid $55 ...
Pros: Works great for the Nano! Nice sound quality. Cons: The Shuffle does not work well with the system.
My husband bought the Logitech system for me before we purchased our Nanos and we only had our Shuffles. We could not find a way to play our Shuffles on speakers, which was something we really wanted to do for parties and gatherings. My husband ...
Pros: portability, better sound than expected, good user interface Cons: hard to dock an iPod with rubberized cover, carrying case does not include adaptor/charger
We bought the Logitech mm50 to replace our Altec Lansing inMotion iM3, which lost its ability to control volume directly or via the remote after one year of frequent (but not daily) usage. We chose the mm50 because we require battery operation to ...
Great sound for the size and price by utealc ,Feb 26 '07
Pros: small, light, great sound, easy to use, remote control Cons: speakers vibrate slightly when unit leans up against a wall
This iPod speaker system sounds great for the size and price. I've never even turned it up to the full volume. The white and silver design matches my iPod Mini's. Logitech even mocked the design of the Macbook's power cord in white.
The dock comes with three cradles to fit any iPod but the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation iPods, which must be connected via audio/headphone jack into the back of the unit.
Your iPod charges while it's docked.
The speaker system comes with a black zipper travel case and is light enough to fit into your purse or beach tote. It even comes with a small remote control.
I picked this up, having had a horrible experience with the Emerson Itone IP500.
This is a stellar of a kit for your Ipod.
It sounds fantastic, and i am a recording engineer/record producer. Its not Mega-Audiophile, but its an incredibly respectible sound. And its got killer low end punch, for a box this size. Its a great looking unit...and will look quite handsome in my kitchen. The powersupply is small enough to work anywhere. Its got a remote and a very sleek carrying case.
I hesitated at 1st on spending 150.00 on it, but this thing rivals the 300.00+ bose unit any day of the week. Dont let the size fool you, it will fill a room with sound.
Logitech nailed this one. I cant find a single complaint about it.
Best for the $ hands down by donewithsalem ,Dec 16 '09
Pros: Great battery life, sounds great for the size & $!!! Cons: None.
I listened to a lot of portable speakers for my ipod, and all I can say is none of them touch this for the money. I bought mine refurbed on ebay, got it for less than half what it was at Best Buy. I've never had a problem with mine. I've taken it to Mexico three times now, beachside, poolside, and in the Hotel room, nothing beats it. These speakers always set the tone when you're having a good time. Its like you have your own theme music anywhere you want.
Its also durable, I can tell you that. I didn't even know it came with a remote and a travel case... kind of a bonus. You can find a portable ipod player that sounds better, but not with the battery life, looks, and durability. It still sounds great for the size.
