Pros: It's Conroy. Cons: Some parts are depressing.
Summary: When I was a kid, I used to babysit the neighbour kids, but there was one family I always liked to sit for more than the other. This family had a BETA version of a VCR, which was something that NO ONE had back in 1981 or so. They had all ... read more

Pros: Excellent story Cons: Slow beginning
Summary: I must confess, I had never heard of Pat Conroy when my mother recommended the book to me. She was always reading books to "Further" the mind, instead of the mindless drivel that I was always reading. Consequently, she has her Masters in ... read more
