Pros: Excellent physics, lots of mechs, mostly fun gameplay Cons: wonky controls, too many bosses
There is no shortage of shooters on the Xbox 360, but that didnt stop Capcom from making yet another one. This one, however is a little different. It has a much more Japanese feel to it than your traditional shooters. Does it live up to the best of ...
Pros: Intense, fun combat, interesting survival mechanic, vehicles, weapons, awesome enemies. Cons: Controls are a bit quirky.
A while back I went on one of my post payday store runs, and was deciding on which game to choose. I read up on some reviews, and ran across Lost Planet, a game in which you not only run and gun, but fight the clock as you essentially freeze to death. ...
Pros: Great visuals, multiplayer is ok, Vital Suits are fun to drive Cons: Ridiculous storyline, Ends to quickly, Weird health system
Besides it's pretty graphics and effects, Lost Planet doesn't really offer much in the way of exciting gameplay. Back at E3 05' a trailer was shown revealing a fast-paced not to mention great looking action game. Unfortunately, the visuals are all ...
Pros: Great arsenal, fun boss battles, mechs! Cons: Poor character models, stiff controls, no soundtrack
Old school gamers remember the days when virtually every game or shooter played featured massive boss battles that tested your evasion and accuracy skills and frequently made you toss your controller around. As the age of 3D games came about, these ...
Pros: Graphics, Vital Suits, Sound, Fun Cons: Frustrating, Lame Story
I picked this one up as a rental as I was out sick from work for a few days, and I needed something to pass the time as my sinuses cleared and head pounded. I would say this game is worth the $8 rental fee, but I wouldn't pay $60 for it. This is not ...
Pros: Impressive physics, explosions and snow effects, large opponents present a unique challenge each time Cons: Controls resulted in gameplay complications, sounds are disappointing, story made little sense, slowdown clearly noticeable
Gameplay: 6 Graphics: 8.5 Sound: 6 Controls: 5 Longevity: 6.5 Overall: 64% (2 stars/below average) Capcom and Innovation Capcom's venture into third-person shooters is not an unfamiliar jaunt for the company. In fact, many ...
Pros: The gameplay and the concept, the graphic too Cons: The game life is very short
Lost Planet is a very good game, but very short too. You can pass the game in aproximatly 18 hours an it's very short. The gameplay is very interesting but it's not enough for the game. My big deception in the game is this one: you can't play with your ...
This is by far one of the best shooters that i have played in a few months. The snow and sky look amazing and the large bug enemies look even better. The gameplay keeps you moving to find heat orbs from dead bodies. Also god multiplayer support
Pros: Cool graphic and sound effect, Fun-to-kill boss Cons: Awkward control, Similar scenes over and over again
I recently rent this game with my roommate.
I was impressed by the graphic and sound effect of the game. Compared to other shooting games, Lost Planet has some creative features. Its health system is kind of awkward at first. However, when I get used to it, it adds a whole new dimension to the game. Also, the movement is pretty decent, and it is cool to master. The bosses are exceptionally fun to kill, and it is more challenging than average shooting game, and plenty of strategic options.
After all, it takes a while to get used to the control and system, but Lost Planet is a decent way to kill time, if you don't mind excessive snow.
