Exercise with Lumines in the mind by chuckerz ,Sep 26 '06
Pros: Nice colors + great music=Addictive Cons: Can give you a major headache
First of all, when PSP first came out, they never had a good puzzle game until Lumines came out. With a catchy name and colorful case, it can really catch your eye to pick up the game and check it out. When I first played the game, I was actually confused until i read the instructions, then really got into it. With colorful themes and great music while playing, you actually can get addicted to it. The thing I really love about the game is the combos. Lumines is about putting four squares with the same color together. You need to time it and be precise on where you put the block. Also, I love the music in this game, there is techno, rock, and slow ballads to make you want to play even more. The down part about the game is the block colors is very confusing, sometimes the block color is transparent to the background and can give you a major headache.
The digital equivalent of crack cocaine... by curb ,May 23 '06
Pros: Music, colours, mental gymnastics, flow, new levels... damn it - everything. Cons: Ummmmm.... As addictive as crack cocaine...
Playing this game on the way to work is like slamming down 10 double-shot espressos... gets your brain totally wired and set up for the day. Once you get used to the game play, you truly feel like your using The Force to make it all work... highly intuitive... ingenious... wonderful... fun... The only game out there that doesn't leave you frustrated as hell when you have to do the same levels hundreds of times over... and you will do them hundreds of times... hundreds and hundreds and hundreds. The great thing about Lumines is that it really does appeal to everybody, my girlfriend is hooked, and that says more than any review you will ever read. More like this please.
