Pros: Cleans chemically treated hair without stripping or fading the color away. Cons: Can be expensive in price; limited availability (only in salons).
I must confess from the very beginning that I resisted for as long as I could. For even long before I switched to using salon shampoos and conditioners last year, I sensed that once I gave them a try, there would be no going back to my drugstore...

Pros: Nice scent, won't strip color, no animal testing
Cons: Expensive, only found in salons or beauty supply stores
I have colored my hair for several years, and I have to be careful about the shampoo I use or my hair will become dry and brittle. Since my hair is colored auburn with a lot of red, the red tones tend to fade quickly, especially if I use bargain brand...
Pros: Makes your hair shiny, manageable, full of life-Doesn't strip color; Cons: May be out of somes price range
Recently I got a wild hair (no pun intended) and went through hoops to dye, bleach, then dye my hair again. After a nice whack job & over processing it was time to give up my old Biolage and find something for color treated hair.
Pros: Nice fragrance, left hair in shiny and manageable condition with very minimal color fade. Cons: Cap more difficult to open than most, (including other Biolage products).
I have waist length hair which I've been coloring for the past 30 years. It has gone through hennas, red and purple shades like dark auburn, burgundy and my favorite plum, and just lately, L'Oreal's delightful Chocolate Cherry. Red shades are ...
Pros: Lathers GREAT! Smells good. Lasts forever. Makes hair SO soft. Keeps color in. Cons: Other that paying a little more than store brands there are NO cons!
This stuff lathers like crazy! I only have to use a small amount. It feels wonderful while shampooin ...
Pros: It helped my hair a lot!!! I'm back to healthy head of hair. Cons: expensive, but worth it I think
I am naturally blonde, but, since getting older and having a child, my hair tends to be darker than it ever was. Coloring was the answer or so I thought. Well I found out, that if you color your hair a lighter blonde, you better be prepared to keep up w ...
Pros: Fresh, clean scent; large bottle so it lasts a long time; protects hair's color Cons: None
I had been using drugstore shampoos and conditioners my whole life, only every so often stepping into a salon to look for something that could help my dry hair. After getting my hair colored, the stylist suggested I get something specifically for ...
Pros: Makes my hair shiny and leaves it feeling clean and keeps color bright. Cons: It is expensive.
I used to use Biolage Color Care Shampoo when I had highlights in my hair which was about 2 years ago. I remember people commenting on how beautiful my hair looked and what kind of shampoo I use. I have long hair, down to the middle of my back and ...
Biolage color care shampoo by tweetyone67 ,Apr 12 '04
Pros: This will rehydrate the hair, keep the color, make your perms last longer and stronger Cons: Wish it could be as economical to all ranges of income
This shampoo is wonderful! As a cosmetologist of more than 8 years, I recommend it for anyone with chemically treated hair. It is wonderful to use to keep your color from fading, washing out, and looking dull. When used with the conditioner it is way over the top.
It does not really protect your color by thebeautybrain ,Jan 07 '07
Pros: Nice fragrance, creamy foam, cleans and conditions Cons: Does not protect color any better than other shampoos. Not worth the cost.
This shampoo provides a great experience but scientific testing proves it will not protect color from fading any better than any other shampoo.
Just look at the list of ingredients. This product contains the same ingredients as products like VO5 and Herbalessence. These will work just as well and cost a lot less.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shampoo. I used it because I was growing my hair out, and didn't get it trimmed for 6 months. When I went to my stylist, she couldn't believe my hair didn't have split ends. Even the bottom of my hair was strong. I went to their hydrating shampoo, but I didn't like it as much (although it's great for dry hair), so I'm going back
