Konica Minolta Dynax 5 35mm Film Camera

After almost 20 years I replaced my Maxxum 7000 and 4 lenses with a Maxxum 5 and TWO lenses. This camera is more sophisticated in its abilities than its Minolta predecessors, and for the price it's an outrageous bargain. Unless you fancy yourself a "pro" and want to impress those around you with the hardware in your hands, there's NO reason to spend more than the cost of a Maxxum 5.

It is the best SLR I ever owned. It is light, small, and quite. Great autofocus and flash metering. Very cheap. It's never given me any trouble. The fact that the accessory shoe is strange caused me a bit of grief, because I had to buy a new flash.

Great camera for the money. Won't find these features on a camera anywhere near this price. It is lacking in some features, but then again, most cameras, even those twice this price, don't have 8 FPS motor winders with 100foot magazines.

As a professional photographer I have found for outdoor photography, the Maxxum 5 is of superior quality in the SLR field. Its features allows quick, at your fingertip control, of controls that would have taken minutes of delay using other cameras. The only problem that I have found is the camera sometimes has problems in low light focusing and recycling before the flash will fire for the photo to be taken and it does not support studio lighting. Even with the slight problems, I would recommend this camera to both ameatuer and professional alike. It is by far an wonderful advancment in the 35 mm SLR field!

I'd be willing to wager a sizable chunk of change that most (95%) of all photographers would find this camera sufficient for there needs. IT'S THAT GOOD! I'm Semi-Proffesional, been doing it for 22 years, and am finally thrilled to find the perfect little camera. Simply awesome. The only reason I keep my maxxum 9 is for harsh enviroments, it's more of a tank for those jobs. But then again I only do that type work once every 4-5 years. Maybe I should sell the 9. Try it and post your review, I bet you'll sing similar praises.

Camera is a great buy for it's money. We looked around and sampled numerous SLR's and for the money you can't beat it. We are truly satisfied with our purchase.

pretty nice camera in all wish it had date time stamp and a couple other options on it as well but over all its a nice little camera and pretty easy to use .
